Reality Checks: A Loving Slap Back Into Your Life

With Saskia Lightstar

This course is a daily loving slap in the face. A very gentle and loving kick up the ass. So you never forget how extraordinary you are. Life has a way of pulling us away from ourselves... world news, politics, family dynamics, daily responsibilities, earning a living, other people’s needs, moods, and expectations etc... We can disappear under all of it if we aren't careful. The endless stimulation, the pressure, the noise; all endlessly pulling us further and further away from ourselves. But not anymore. This course is a gentle loving slap on your face to say: REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE. Listen to one a day. Listen to five a day. Listen to one a week. It doesn't matter. But the more you listen, the more you will come back home to yourself. And the more you come back home to yourself, the more miraculous your life will be. Don't believe me? Try it. I dare you.

Meet your Teacher

Saskia Lightstar is not a spiritual teacher in the traditional sense. She is a lived-it, bled-it, rebuilt-it human who refused to abandon herself and learned how to love herself back to life. Her work doesn’t just come from theory, training, or borrowed wisdom. It also came from surviving, breaking, unlearning, and choosing to stay awake inside her own life. Through years of stripping back conditioning, self-betrayal, and emotional suppression, Saskia developed what she calls Human Evolution Healing. A grounded, emotionally intelligent approach to self-connection that prioritises nervous-system safety, radical honesty, and lived embodiment over performance, positivity, or spiritual bypassing. Saskia’s voice is direct, playful, fierce, and deeply human. She doesn’t speak about healing. She speaks from inside it. Her work invites people out of self-abandonment and back into presence, sensation, truth, and agency. Not by fixing themselves, but by remembering who they are when they stop neglecting their inner being.

Lesson 9

Rest When Your Mind Tells You Not To

You do not have to earn your right to rest. This Reality Check gently separates rest from productivity and effort, reminding you that exhaustion is not a badge of honour. Today’s practice invites your body back into balance, safety, and restoration in the way it actually needs, not the way your mind demands.

Lesson 10

Make Peace With Your Own Reflection

You’ve spent years judging yourself in the mirror, scanning for flaws instead of meeting yourself with kindness. Today this Reality Check turns the mirror into an altar. A place where criticism softens, self-attack dissolves, and you learn how to look into your own eyes without flinching, hiding, or turning away. Please note: You will need a mirror nearby for this lesson.

Stop Apologising For Existing

Today’s Reality Check is about reclaiming yourself fully – physically, emotionally, and spiritually – and remembering that you are not too much, difficult, or inconvenient. You are a gift, not a problem, and it’s time you stopped treating yourself like an apology.

Lesson 12

The Juiciness Of The In Between

Today is about learning to live inside the in-between – that strange, uncomfortable stretch of time between who you were and who you are becoming. The no-man’s-land where nothing seems to be happening, yet everything is quietly rearranging itself. You don’t need to rush your evolution. The space between your versions is where real transformation takes root.

Lesson 14

Stop Comparing Yourself

Comparison is the fastest way to lose touch with yourself. The Courage To Be Seen

Being seen isn’t about confidence or attention. It’s about vulnerability. This Reality Check invites you to stop hiding the real you behind protection, performance, or self-editing, and to let yourself be witnessed as you are now. You don’t need to become braver. You just need to stop disappearing.

Readiness is a myth designed by fear to delay your life. It convinces you to wait for confidence, clarity, permission, or perfect conditions before you begin. Today’s Reality Check reminds you that readiness is created by movement, not waiting. You start exactly where you are, with whatever courage you have, and let life meet you there.

Lesson 20

The Art Of Starting Again

Falling apart isn’t failure. It’s part of the cycle. Life doesn’t move in straight lines; it moves in spirals, seasons, and recalibrations. Today’s Reality Check reminds you that starting again isn’t a setback or a sign you’ve done something wrong. It’s how life updates you, clears what no longer fits, and moves you forward with more truth, wisdom, and self-awareness than before.

Lesson 21

Your Body Is Not A Battlefield

Your body has carried you through everything you have lived. Every change, every stress, every survival moment, every becoming. Today’s Reality Check invites you to end the war with your body and step into a new relationship built on respect, listening, and care. This is about learning to work with your body instead of against it, and finally offering your physical being the gratitude it has always deserved.

Lesson 22

The Real Truth About Healing

Healing is not a straight line, a checklist, or something you “complete.” It’s a living, breathing relationship with yourself that unfolds in layers. Today’s Reality Check invites you to stop measuring your progress, stop judging where you are, and begin trusting the messy, nonlinear process of your becoming. Healing isn’t about getting it right. It’s about staying present with yourself as you change.

Lesson 23

You Don’t Have To Be Positive All The Time

Toxic positivity teaches us to smile through pain and override what we’re actually feeling. But real healing doesn’t come from pretending everything is fine. It comes from honesty. Today’s Reality Check invites you to stop forcing positivity and allow every emotion to have space. Authenticity heals faster than performance ever could.

Lesson 24

You’re Allowed To Want More Than The Minimum

You’re not asking for too much — you’ve just been taught to settle for too little. This Reality Check is about recognising where you’ve been surviving instead of living, tolerating instead of choosing, and shrinking your desires to stay acceptable. Today you remember that wanting more isn’t greed or ingratitude. It’s a sign that life is still moving inside you and asking for expansion.

Lesson 25

The Power Of Ordinary Days

The real magic of life isn’t just found in celebrations or big breakthroughs. It lives in the quiet, repetitive, ordinary moments that slowly shape who you become. Lesson 26

You’re Allowed To Change Your Mind

Changing your mind doesn’t make you wrong, flaky, or untrustworthy — it means you’re alive and evolving. This Reality Check invites you to release loyalty to old decisions, outdated identities, and promises made from who you used to be, so you can honour who you are now without guilt or explanation.

Lesson 27

You Are Not Hard To Love

You are not difficult, demanding, or “too much” to love. This Reality Check is about unlearning the belief that love has to be earned, negotiated, or performed for. Today you release the idea that something is wrong with you and remember that real love meets you as you are, without conditions.

Lesson 28

You Don’t Have To Hold It All Together

Strength isn’t pretending you’re fine or keeping everything neatly contained. Real strength is knowing when to soften, unravel, and let yourself be human. This Reality Check invites you to stop gripping so tightly and discover that falling apart can be the exact moment healing begins.

Lesson 29

Stop Looking for Yourself In Other People’s Eyes

You won’t find yourself in someone else’s opinions, reactions, or approval. Today’s Reality Check invites you to stop outsourcing your sense of self and come back to the only place it’s ever lived — inside you. This is about reclaiming your identity, your worth, and your truth without waiting to be reflected back by anyone else.

Lesson 30

Stop Rescuing Other People

Rescuing doesn’t make you kind — it makes you exhausted and quietly erases you. When you constantly step in to save others, you interrupt their growth and abandon your own needs. Today’s Reality Check helps you step out of the rescuer role, reclaim your energy, and trust that other people are capable of learning how to swim without you drowning for them.

Lesson 31

Sensitivity Is Not A Flaw

Sensitive people are often made to feel like they’re “too much,” when in truth sensitivity is one of the most intelligent ways to experience life. If you feel deeply, notice subtle shifts, absorb emotion, or respond strongly to the world around you, nothing is wrong with you. Today’s Reality Check is about stopping the self-editing and self-diminishing, and recognising that your sensitivity is not a weakness to manage, but a natural strength that allows you to love, perceive, and connect more fully to life.

Lesson 32

Let It Be Messy

Healing isn’t neat, calm, or graceful. The deeper you go, the messier it gets. Real healing often looks like tears that don’t make sense, emotions that feel contradictory, and moments where you feel worse before you feel better. Today’s Reality Check is about understanding that mess isn’t a sign you’re doing it wrong. It’s evidence that something real is moving. The mess is not something to tidy up or control. It’s proof that you’re finally letting yourself feel, process, and heal at a deeper level.

Lesson 33

Stop Outsourcing Your Intuition

You already know. You just don’t trust yourself yet. Somewhere along the way, you learned to look outside yourself for answers, reassurance, and permission before listening inward. Today’s Reality Check is about ending that habit gently and powerfully. You stop handing your authority to other people’s opinions and start rebuilding trust with your own inner knowing. The voice you’ve been waiting to believe in has always been yours. This is about coming back into self-trust, self-leadership, and the quiet confidence of listening to yourself first.

Lesson 34

You’re Not The Villain

Somewhere along the way, you started casting yourself as the problem. The one who got it wrong. The one who should have known better. Today’s Reality Check invites you to step out of that role. Making mistakes doesn’t make you bad, broken, or unworthy. It makes you human, learning, and evolving. This is about loosening the grip of guilt and shame, and seeing your missteps as part of growth rather than evidence against you. You’re not the villain in your story. You’re the one learning how to live.

Lesson 35

Stop Looking For The “Old You” — They’re Dead

You’re not meant to stay the same. Every heartbreak, breakdown, awakening, and loss has changed the shape of you, and that’s not a problem — it’s proof you’re alive. Today’s Reality Check is about stopping the search for who you used to be and understanding that those versions had their time. Letting them go isn’t morbid or dramatic; it’s how you make space for joy, growth, and the version of you that’s still waiting to be lived.

Lesson 36

You Don’t Need Closure

Closure is not something someone else gives you. It’s something you choose. You don’t need an apology, an explanation, or one last conversation to move forward with your life. Today’s Reality Check is about releasing the need for answers that may never come, and reclaiming your power by deciding that your healing does not depend on anyone else’s awareness, remorse, or understanding.

Lesson 37

Let Your Tears Do Their Work

Crying isn’t weakness or loss of control. It’s your body’s natural way of releasing what words can’t carry. Tears are how emotions finish moving through you instead of getting stuck inside. Today’s Reality Check invites you to stop holding it together, stop apologising for feeling, and let your tears do the quiet, intelligent work of relief, regulation, and healing.

Lesson 38

Why Are You Still Chasing Them?

Love isn’t something you should have to negotiate, manage, chase, or work overtime for. When connection is real, it meets you without effort or self-betrayal. Today’s Reality Check helps you notice where you’re still forcing closeness, over-giving, or waiting to be chosen, and gently guides you to bring that energy back to yourself, where your life actually lives.

Lesson 39

Your Body Keeps The Memories You Ignore

Your body needs more than good food, movement, and good intentions to feel well. It also needs emotional honesty, expression, and release. Today’s Reality Check explores how unfelt emotions, swallowed truths, and unfinished experiences live on in the body as tension, fatigue, pain, or disconnection. You’ll learn why healing isn’t about going back into the past, but about allowing what’s ready to move now to finally have space. This is an invitation to listen to your body, feel what’s been waiting, and offer yourself a deeper, more complete kind of care.

Lesson 40

Creativity Is How Your Soul Speaks

You don’t have to be an artist, writer, or performer to be creative. Creativity isn’t about talent, productivity, or making something impressive. It’s the natural way your inner world expresses itself when it’s allowed to move freely. Today’s Reality Check invites you to reconnect with creativity as a form of self-connection, release, and aliveness — a way your soul breathes, processes, and stays awake inside your everyday life.

Lesson 41

The Space You Keep Avoiding

The space you keep avoiding isn’t empty — it’s intimate. It’s where you finally meet yourself without distraction, performance, or noise. Today’s Reality Check invites you to choose aloneness on purpose, not as isolation or punishment, but as a powerful act of self-connection, honesty, and coming home to who you really are beneath everything else.

Lesson 42

Dare to Dream Again

Disappointment can teach you to shrink your dreams to avoid getting hurt again. Over time, hope starts to feel risky and imagination feels naïve. Today’s Reality Check gently reopens the door to possibility, helping you trust your dreams again without pressure, fantasy, or force — just honest hope, courage, and the willingness to believe your life can still surprise you.

Lesson 43

Perfection Is Really Fear In Disguise

Perfection isn’t about excellence or high standards — it’s fear trying to keep you safe through control. It shows up as self-punishment, constant pressure, and never feeling good enough. Today’s Reality Check helps you recognise how perfection disconnects you from joy, creativity, and ease, and invites you to loosen your grip so you can live, create, and heal from a more honest, human place.

Lesson 44

Stop Refusing To Love All Of You

You may practise self-love, but often only for the parts of you that feel acceptable, manageable, or easy to be with. This Reality Check gently exposes how early criticism, conditioning, and the need to belong trained you to reject parts of yourself in order to feel safe. Today is about ending that inner split and learning how to bring compassion back to the parts of you that were never actually wrong — just unheard.

Lesson 45

If Your Healing Makes People Uncomfortable, You’re Doing It Right

When you start healing, growing, and changing the way you live, it can unsettle people who are still invested in you staying the same. Your boundaries, honesty, and self-respect may disrupt dynamics that once relied on your silence or self-abandonment. Today you learn that other people’s discomfort is not a sign you’re doing something wrong — it’s often a mirror of the work they are not yet willing to face.

Lesson 46

Stop Pointing At Them

Every time you point the finger at someone else, you hand your power away and stall your own growth. This Reality Check invites you to turn blame into awareness, so each trigger becomes a doorway back to responsibility, clarity, and real personal evolution.

Lesson 47

Remember You’re Allowed To Have Fun

Fun isn’t something you earn after you’ve healed, achieved, or held it all together. It’s a vital life force that reconnects you to yourself, softens your nervous system, and reminds you why being alive is meant to feel good. Today you give yourself permission to enjoy, play, and let joy move through you again without guilt or conditions.

Lesson 48

You Are Not Here To Be Easy To Swallow

Every time you soften your truth, shrink your edges, or edit yourself to be more acceptable, you abandon a piece of who you really are. This Reality Check is about ending the self-dilution and coming back to your full, unapologetic flavour. You weren’t born to be agreeable, digestible, or easy to consume. You’re here to be real, expressive, and fully yourself — even when that makes others uncomfortable.

Lesson 49

You Are More Powerful Than You’ve Been Acting

You haven’t lost your power — you’ve just forgotten to stand in it. Over time, self-doubt, fear, and old conditioning can make you play smaller than you are, waiting for permission or proof. This Reality Check is about remembering that your choices, energy, and attention shape your life far more than you’ve been led to believe. Today you stop underestimating yourself and begin using your power deliberately, boldly, and in your own favour.

Lesson 50

You Get To Choose What Happens Next

Your past may explain how you got here, but it does not get to write the rest of your story. Patterns, habits, and old identities only keep running if you keep handing them the pen. This Reality Check is about reclaiming authorship of your life and remembering that choice lives in the present moment. Today you stop reacting on autopilot and consciously choose what you build, how you respond, and who you become next.
