Have you spent years trying to heal past trauma, but you still feel stuck? You may have an incredible amount of self-awareness, but perhaps you don’t feel different inside your body. You may often feel anxious, numb, disconnected, heavy, or other uncomfortable sensations. If this sounds like you, please know that it’s not your fault. While traditional therapies can be helpful for many people, it is often not enough to fully process trauma. If you’ve been in talk therapy for decades, but still feel stuck, this is not a reflection of you. Cognitive therapies often can’t access body-stored trauma, leaving many people feeling frustrated and hopeless about healing. The latest trauma research shows that embodied & somatic therapies are the most effective and efficient way to wholly release trauma and create the shift most people want to FEEL: light, open, free, and safe inside their skin. In this course, I will share the research that shows why talk therapy isn’t enough and why somatic therapy is crucial for integrated mind-body healing. I will share this information in a language that is easy to absorb. You’ll also be introduced to a movement-based process that can help you start feeling some of the embodied shifts that are necessary to truly heal trauma.

Orit has 14+ years of experience helping individuals & couples heal from past trauma and enjoy healthy lifelong relationships using her unique approach with dance therapy. On Day 1, we’ll delve into the research about how trauma gets stored in our bodies, and why somatic therapy is often essential to experience a full-body shift. The information in today’s lesson will explain why many people still feel disconnected, numb, or feel like they’re missing that last “puzzle piece” to healing trauma, despite having an impressive level of self-awareness in their minds. To embody what you’re learning, I will guide you through a movement-based meditation to help you feel how trauma may be impacting your body in this very moment. When we understand how trauma is stored in our own bodies, we gain the necessary awareness that often leads to an embodied sense of calm, freedom, and vitality throughout our entire being.

Release Trauma From The Body

Today, we will talk about how trauma can be released from the body, especially from a somatic therapy perspective. Maybe you’ve been in years of therapy and tried dozens of alternative approaches, without a full release or whole-body integration. As a result, you might feel stuck and skeptical about embodying the healing you deeply desire. If this resonates with you, the information in this lesson may come as a huge relief to you. I will also guide you through a gentle movement-based meditation that’ll provide a tangible opportunity for you to move through fear and triggers in your body. This embodied experience will allow you to explore one of the most foundational aspects to releasing trauma in a way that is sustainable and lends to deeper peace in your body, harmony in your relationships, and fulfillment in your life.

Even though the course is only 2 lessons it’s really helped me to understand how to connect with my body to understand trauma which is deeply held and ways to help release this. I’ve have become an advocate for movement as a healing tool through the course because of the meditations used to cement the learning.
