Release Your Core Abandonment Wound & Anxious Attachment

With Orit Krug

Are you exhausted from constantly trying to talk yourself out of anxious attachment? No matter how many affirmations or mental reframes you try, the intense physical sensations of anxiety persists. Not only does the anxiety feel so uncomfortable in our bodies, but the mental frustration of not being able to alleviate it adds even more distress. It feels like a hopeless, never-ending cycle of despair. I understand how this feels after 35+ years of still releasing my abandonment wound. I’ve had many sleepless, anxiety-ridden nights; I’ve had dark moments when I thought this would never pass, no matter how hard I try; I’ve sabotaged relationships. Combining my 14+ years of professional experience as a Somatic Dance/Movement Therapist and my personal healing with anxious attachment, I’m bringing you some of the most powerful and EFFECTIVE content to help you finally release your anxious attachment and core abandonment wound. In this course, I will safely guide you through a process to identify your core attachment & abandonment wound, and then we’ll use gentle movement to begin releasing it. You don’t need any previous experience with movement-based meditations. The somatic approach in this course is an absolute game-changer that will likely take you far beyond any cognitive approach ever could!

Lesson 1

Identify Your Core Abandonment Wound

In today's lesson, we'll identify your core attachment & abandonment wound. This can help us see clearly what fear becomes uncontrollably triggered in your body, every time you have an anxious episode. Instead of your nervous system hijacking you in these moments, you can be in command of your body instead. I will also guide you through a gentle movement-based meditation to help you feel how this wound feels in your body, which can eventually help you stop the anxious feelings & thoughts before they even begin.

Lesson 2

Identify Thoughts & Feelings That Fuel Your Abandonment Wound

Today, we'll clarify what specific thoughts & feelings keep your abandonment wound alive, and keep you in fear in relationships. The connection between your embodied abandonment wound and your thoughts is ESSENTIAL to identify, because this association fuels the vicious cycle of anxious attachment. This is what makes us think, “Are you serious? I THOUGHT I resolved this and now it’s back!” We will also explore more gentle, guided movement to identify the link between your wound and the thoughts, so that you can break the pattern of thought that keeps the anxiety alive.

This was a very helpful, brief entry into getting to the roots & stories around attachment. I felt a greater sense of wholeness after the course and had new insights that other attachment work didn’t provide. Def recommend and would have loved an even longer course like this!
