Breathing And Present Moment Awareness
Today, we will learn two basic breathing exercises which can be employed at any time to calm us down and regulate our nervous system. We will also learn a present moment technique. The present moment is literally all that we have; we cannot change the past and we cannot predict the future, and frequently our stress derives from lament over the past or that worry about the uncertainty of the future.

Present Moment Awareness And Loving Kindness
Another form of present moment awareness mediation is that of focusing on the senses. We will learn a technique for that as well as learn a shorter method for performing a body scan. We will close today's lesson with an extensive loving kindness meditation.

Summary And Review
Today we will summarize each of the techniques we learned as well as practice them again. We will also discuss practical applications for each of the techniques such that we can practice them "in the moment" during real life situations.
