Great advice. Thank you. I could have used it, regrettably in retrospect at this point, when dealing with what was then my teenage son. I will use it going forward and suppose I did to a degree back then in that I did try to address the behavior at one point instead of ignore it. Things are better now, thankfully. I appreciate you sharing this wisdom! 😊

You have calmed and reminded me of boundaries. It’s easy to get stuck in your own mind and hold onto unhealthy connections. Your session has eased the toxic emotions I’ve been holding onto. 🙏🏼

Just beautiful. Absolutely love the part about forgiving onself for not being able to forgive just yet. I have some hurtd in which I am forgiving one day but the next, I’m am angry at the perpetrators all over again. This entire prayer but especially thay 3rd part, reminds me to keep trying to find peace to accept the hurt as just a part of life and to look elsewhere for “my people”.

Good question. My silence around my father's behavior, neighbors who are, very illegally, stalking me, people I have used with, makes them very angry and uncomfortable. As does my absence in their very narrow purview of their lives. They try, and try, and try as they might: My life is my own. Not their's. Let them feel uncomfortable. Let them wonder. Let them create false narratives. Somehow, people in my life, who have behaved (and still behave) this way towards me, are either the victim, the hero, or the villain. All at the same time. In life, we are different with different people, while in certain spaces, depending on our moods, and so on. These folks are intent on wearing *so* many masks, that they inevitably get confused. Their timeline of events do not make sense. They forget. They're still getting high, overdosing people, themselves, and it seems as though everyone in their lives, including their children, are an object to be used and disposed of. I feel so grateful that I did not turn into that. I feel activated during different moments on different days. Given where I live and what I am confronted with on a daily basis, this makes sense. I pay attention to my surroundings, nature. I still care about other people, animals, my baby girl, lost friends and relatives. My empathy is still in tact. Compassionate empathy, as opposed to the the cognitive empathy experienced by those who have little to none of that. I feel grateful today. Although I can, I have absolutely nothing to complain about today. Thank you.
