Welcome to a midday break meditation,
Taking a few minutes out of your day to help you let go of any tension,
Any stress that's been building throughout the day,
And just reminding you of where that peace and calm and feeling centered is to connect you back into that.
So let's begin by finding yourself in a comfortable space,
In a relaxed seated position,
Close your eyes,
And we'll take a couple of deep breaths in and out through your nose.
As you inhale,
Feeling your belly expand,
Your chest,
Your shoulders rise.
And as you exhale,
Really feeling the softening in your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Becoming a little bit more alert as you inhale,
Taking in all that fresh oxygen and balancing that out with the relaxation of the exhale.
And one more really big inhale,
Really filling up.
And as you exhale,
Letting everything go,
Letting your whole body melt,
And then allowing your breath to flow naturally,
Just finding its own rhythm,
Noticing your breath at your chest as your chest rises and falls,
And maybe noticing the rhythm of your breath,
Just like the rhythm of the ocean,
Of the waves.
The waves come in and go out,
Nobody controlling the waves,
Just follow their own rhythm as you follow your breath,
Arising and releasing,
Coming and going with each breath.
Any tension in your body starts to melt,
Starts to soften.
As you feel more space opening up inside,
You feel a sense of calm,
Of equanimity,
That everything is okay,
Nothing to reach out for in this moment,
Nothing to push away.
And we'll just take a few more breaths here,
Feeling that spaciousness inside,
The release of any last bits of tension,
Knowing that taking this few minutes to center yourself was the best thing you can do for yourself,
That you are now back to your best.
Namaste.
