Lección 1
Introduction
As we enter our retirement years, it is an opportunity to take stock of where we are and to consider the road ahead. We realize that not all of our friends and relations have made it this far. It may give us cause to celebrate, but often retirement is a daunting prospect. It does not have to be so...
Lección 2
Legacy
In this lesson, I speak about legacy. What is it exactly that we wish to be remembered for? What do we wish to leave behind after we shuffle off this mortal coil? Tibetan Buddhists recommend that we think about death and the brief time we have on this planet. This action does not have to have to be bleak in aspect. Let's turn it into a constructive and positive process.
Lección 3
Taking Stock
Taking stock, knowing where we are at - and more importantly...sharing that information is the crux and content of this lesson. There is a lot of information to consider, so do listen to this lesson as many times as you need. OF course, the content of the folder depends on what you wish to include - it may be more extensive with family photographs and other memorabilia. The choice is yours.
Lección 4
Facing Loss
Can we agree that coping with loss is one of the most challenging aspects of life? How often do we go from one day to the next pretending that we are immortal and that others in our lives are immortal too? If we allow ourselves to consider the reality that loss and grief come to us all, then we may be better prepared for it. Maybe.
Lección 5
Ikigai - Living Our Best Life
The concept of Ikigai - or living our best life, may not be new to you. As we move into retirement we may need to revisit some fundamental values in our lives and re-adjust them to reflect our current here and now.
