Thor A Rain is a health activist, pain and fatigue specialist, and social entrepreneur dedicated to improving emotional and physical wellbeing to ease suffering. Drawing on their own recovery from complex PTSD, ME/CFS, and Fibromyalgia, Thor developed the First Aid for Feelings method — a practical approach that helps people reconnect with their bodies and mind. A core aspect is understanding that feelings are both emotions and sensations and that all feelings are information. With a background including an MA and clinical diploma in hypnosis, NLP, EFT, and coaching, Thor founded The Helpful Clinic in 2015 to advance health and emotional literacy. Their meditations, clinical work, workshops, and publications invite listeners to get curious and learn the skills to strengthen self-compassion as well as understanding and responding to feelings in a way that supports greater self-awareness and healing. Thor has practiced meditation for over 20 yrs with the Order of Interbeing which is rooted in the Plum Village tradition founded by Zen master and Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh. I never thought of overwhelm as information to help look deeper into the current situation and what was causing me to feel that way. Eye opening and thought provoking. Definitely areas of opportunity in my day to day that I can change to help manage those feelings.

I'm so glad to have found this . As an autistic person I just started in the past few years to be able to confidently and politely get help from people who really want to be helpful in the first place. This meditation is spot-on for me and so well delivered. It's a tool for me now . I am so grateful ! Thank you ! A million times ! 🙏🏻

That was very nice. I didn’t expect that it would be so calming. So thank you 😊 Hi Thor, it’s about 2 years since I commented on this meditation.. this is still my go to meditation for calming down and slowing my thinking down. Thank you again. I hope you are well.

Hi, Thor, Thanks for the nice guidance for slowing down. I’m always rushing from task to task for no good reason, and I know it’s ridiculous! I used this to successfully get myself to sit down between getting home from work and starting to cook dinner! My hearts not racing, I’m not craving a glass of wine, and I feel quite relaxed. I’ll practice this some more till I get good at it! Thank you, Donna
