Welcome to this body scan meditation.
Let's find a comfortable and relaxing space and gently close your eyes,
Bringing yourself down,
Down,
Down.
Any thoughts of the day or the day to come are left behind.
You are focused on the inner workings of yourself.
Let's gently bring our awareness to your feet,
Just gently noticing them,
How they are feeling,
The position of them in this current space.
Whatever is coming up inside your feet,
Whether it's a comfortable or uncomfortable sensation,
Let it be there,
Let it fully express itself.
It's there,
It just wants to express.
Gently moving our awareness up to our knees,
You may feel neutral or maybe heat,
Tingling or a cold sensation,
Whatever it is,
Whatever it may be,
Gently feel.
Even if there is nothing there,
That's okay,
There doesn't have to be.
Just focusing your awareness on that area,
That's all.
The knees play such an important role in our lives.
They give us a lot of support every single day.
They deserve to be listened to,
Whatever they are communicating.
Then moving your awareness to your hip area,
The central point of your body,
The connection of the lower body to the upper,
Where your center of gravity is held.
Feel what's coming up here.
Any thoughts,
Just bring yourself back to the area of the hips.
A gentleness is a must here.
No form of harshness on yourself when bringing yourself back to the area after a period of thought.
Then gently bringing yourself up to the upper body and the area of the heart.
Feeling this area of creation and sensitivity.
The heart beats for you every second of the day,
Transporting blood all over the body.
Listen to it at this moment,
Feeling the energy of the heart and the sensory responses it has.
Whatever you're feeling,
Let it be.
Give your heart rest at this time.
Take the load off of it by allowing it to express itself whatever way that may be for you.
Now bringing your attention to the head area,
Your facial muscles,
Your mouth,
Nose,
Eyes,
Hair,
Skull and brain.
Feeling this expression of these areas,
Feeling the sensations that come up.
Any thoughts,
Once again bring yourself back to these areas.
Allow your facial muscles to relax.
Sometimes we can carry a lot of tension here,
Tension from our daily pursuits,
Careers and jobs.
Slowly relax and as you relax your facial muscles,
Relax all the muscles in your body.
Relieving any tension that has built up here over time.
You deserve this opportunity for full expression.
Now as this meditation comes to an end,
We are going to move our bodies around,
Gently waking ourselves back up.
