Welcome to this meditation to add into your night time routine.
Unwind,
Relax and get ready for a good sleep.
Finding a comfortable space for yourself,
Closing your eyes and getting ready to unclench,
Unwind and unravel yourself.
Really bringing your attention to your wonderful breath,
Noticing your chest rising and falling,
Just noticing your natural breath,
Not changing anything,
Noticing the rise and the fall,
The ebb and the flow,
The contraction and the relaxation.
The wandering breath has been doing tremendous work for you all day long,
Throughout your various different activities,
Keeping you alive and calm underneath it all.
Maybe today has been a stressful day for you,
Or it's been a hard day,
That's okay,
Tomorrow is a new fresh day.
With each inhale,
Relaxing the muscles of your body,
With each exhale,
Releasing tension,
Releasing,
Releasing,
Releasing,
Unclenching your legs,
Hips,
Back,
Chest,
Arms and head.
Giving yourself permission to relax,
Unwinding from the stresses of the day,
Gifting yourself compassion through your breath.
Inhale compassion,
Exhale sinking into your body,
Sinking into the very structure that you are lying on,
Sinking,
Sinking,
Sinking.
You have done your absolute best today,
Whatever you have done,
That's all you've had the energy for today,
Tomorrow is a new fresh day and that's okay.
Breathing in the positive possibilities of tomorrow,
And breathing out any tension remaining from today,
Not forcing anything,
Go easy,
You are safe,
You are ready for a great sleep tonight.
Remember that your breath will always be supporting you throughout the night,
Drifting,
Ebbing and flowing as you rest,
Release and heal.
Stay here with your eyes closed if you wish,
Or opening them whenever you feel like.
