Intro to Yin Yoga with Nitya Griffith will explore what Yin Yoga is; the origin, philosophy, and mechanics of the practice. You will learn the benefits of Yin Yoga through direct experience as you are guided through a Yin practice with an awareness of how the body can heal and be rejuvenated by targeting specific meridians. The Yin practice, as I teach it, includes poetry being read as you are in the asanas to create a narrative to deepen the spiritual aspect of the practice. Ending a Yin practice with a chakra visualization allows for the entire body to completely let go, the last surrender into bliss and freedom from feeling blocked or stagnant. Finally, we break down the chakras and meridians of the asanas so you can create your practice.
