Hi,

This is Nitya with Nitya Living,

A holistic wellness yoga refuge.

Thank you so much for joining me.

Let's take a deep breath in and let it go slowly.

Another deep breath in and let it go slowly.

Already we're beginning to shift your nervous system to a place of greater calm.

Notice now your physical body.

Have you made yourself as comfortable as possible?

Pillows,

A bed,

Cozy blanket,

Maybe a warm cup of tea.

It feels good to nurture yourself.

Let's take another deep breath and let it go slowly.

Inhaling,

Exhaling.

Sometimes in life we are desperate for answers,

Desperate for solutions to understand why,

To move on.

And yet sometimes we just feel stuck,

Like a room with no doors,

Like a woods with no path.

It can be scary.

It can cause a lot of stress and anxiety in our life,

Especially if it's something that's going on inside of you that you don't feel like it's safe or okay for you to share with the people in your life.

I have been journaling since I was 10 years old.

I have an entire chest filled with journals documenting my whole life.

And what happened from that continuous journey is I have a conversation and a relationship with myself.

I highly recommend that you begin journaling.

It doesn't have to be anything fantastic.

Nobody's going to read it.

It can just be an explosion of everything in your heart and in your mind rapidly coming down on paper.

Just random thoughts.

It doesn't even have to make sense.

Just open up a notebook.

I like pen to paper.

Maybe you want to do it in a notepad,

On your phone,

Or in your computer.

Just take a deep breath in and let it go slowly.

Deep breath in and let it go slowly.

When our body is full of stress and when our mind is full of anxiety,

Worry,

Concerns,

Our body holds onto it.

It causes tension.

It causes dis-ease.

You just don't feel right.

You're not able to digest well.

So let's get the body relaxed.

Whether you're sitting or lying down,

Let's begin to do a tensing and releasing.

I highly recommend that you do this before going to sleep at night to let go of that tension,

To let go of the stress,

To soothe your nervous system.

Like taking crazy hair and brushing it down.

Smooth.

Mm-hmm.

So as you're now so still and feeling quieter,

And hopefully your environment is supporting this quiet stillness,

Let's take a deep breath in and tense that right leg.

Hold the breath.

Tense it,

Tense it down to your feet.

Open the mouth.

Exhale,

Let go.

Breathe now into your left leg.

Hold the breath.

Squeeze all the muscles down to the toes.

Exhale,

Let go.

Breathe in now.

Pull the perineum up.

Clench your buttocks.

Hold.

Release.

Breathe into the abdomen.

Swell the abdomen into a big,

Huge balloon.

Big,

Big,

Big,

Big,

Big,

Big breath.

Open the mouth.

Release.

Next we'll do a three-part Durga swasana breath three times.

Breathe into the abdomen.

Lift breath to the chest,

All the way up to the collarbone.

Open the mouth.

Release.

Breathe back into the abdomen.

Lift it to the chest,

Up to the collarbone.

Hold.

Release.

Third time.

Breathe into the abdomen.

Lift breath to the chest,

All the way up to the collarbone.

Open the mouth.

Let go.

Let go.

Let go.

I'm holding you here,

Safe,

Safe,

In a warm,

Loving space.

Mmm.

It's okay.

I've got you.

Let's stretch hands wide and breathe your hands into fists.

Breathe into the muscles of your arms.

Tight,

Tight,

Tight.

And let go.

Inhale as you shrug shoulders up to your ears,

Pushing shoulders down.

Inhale wrap your arms around yourself.

Give yourself a quick hug.

Loving yourself for just who you are is how we begin to accept and love the world just as it is.

Let your arms and shoulders relax as you let your head tip side to side.

Still the head and wiggle your jaw side to side.

Drop the mouth open,

Sticking out your tongue,

Rolling eyes upward.

Make a hissing sound,

Like a silent scream.

And roll the mouth closed.

Take an inhale,

Purse your lips,

And let it go.

Breathe into your whole face.

Squeeze forehead,

Eyes,

Nose,

Mouth.

Tight,

Tight,

Tight.

Let it go.

Feeling now a warm wave of deep relaxation washing over your body,

Like you've slipped into a really warm bath.

And with your eyes closed,

Being held in this safe space.

Feel yourself so relaxed now.

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

Sometimes it feels like if we do let go,

Everything's lost.

Everything falls apart.

Sometimes letting go,

Being quiet,

Pulling back,

Allows other people to step forward,

To take the reins.

And sometimes it's an interesting thing to see what people choose to say and do when you step back,

When you let go.

Maybe it'll be different from what you would say or do,

But maybe that's something you need to learn.

And maybe that's something they need to learn.

Let's take a deep breath in.

Let some sound out on the exhale.

Deep breath in.

Rainer Maria Rilke says,

Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves.

Don't search for the answers.

They could not be given to you now because you would not be able to live them.

And the point is to live everything.

Live the questions now.

Perhaps then,

Someday in the future,

You will gradually,

Without even noticing it,

Live your way into the answer.

Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves.

It's an uncomfortable place being between here and there,

Isn't it?

When you want to be unstuck,

When you want to understand,

When you want the answers,

The ego has such a temper tantrum.

You want to vent everywhere with everyone.

Makes a lot of noise in the world.

Sometimes we don't feel like we have permission to do that even.

And it's all bottled up inside like you just want to explode.

And it might come out in weird blow ups and weird decisions and weird ways that it erupts.

Pull back.

Pull back.

Drop the reins,

Really and truly.

It won't fall apart.

Everything will actually be okay.

It might be a little bit scary at first,

But ultimately it's going to be okay.

How do I know?

No.

I think I've been stuck a bunch of times in my life too.

Sometimes the most amazing unexpected answers show up,

Taking me in a direction I never saw coming,

Introducing me to a person I never would have chosen.

Remember that everything you are deserving of is coming to you.

But sometimes we get so caught up in chasing and trying to find those solutions and answers and trying to get unstuck and trying this and trying that,

We get so busy with that,

We miss all the signs and opportunities that were coming to us.

It's kind of like you're doing without doing.

Doing without doing.

Give it a try.

Give it a try.

Challenge yourself.

What happens if I truly step back,

Open a journal and begin to write down what's in my heart?

Get it all out.

Sometimes I walk around with my journal and throughout the day I sit and I process and I let all of it out.

I feel so much better.

I don't feel like I'm burdening anyone with my thoughts.

And often a bad day is just that.

The next day is a totally different adventure,

A totally different narrative.

So it's building up that relationship with yourself through journaling and giving yourself permission to step back and to let go of feeling like you have to always have control of the situation in order to save it from a undesired outcome.

And it's amazing how stepping back empowers other people and gives other people a chance.

Let's take a deep breath in.

Let it go slowly.

Another deep breath and let it go.

In this moment,

Allow yourself to be really still and really quiet.

And imagine that you are on a battlefield and you know who all the players are because it's your life.

And you're standing there with a sword because it's ancient times.

And you're holding that sword and you're leading your army.

And then all of a sudden you drop the sword and you let everyone go in front of you.

And you come behind last.

Close your eyes in this space and just see yourself letting it go and seeing what happens.

Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves.

Just sit here in this battlefield sitting silent doing absolutely nothing but allowing everything everything to be exactly how it is supposed to be.

And it is okay.

It's okay.

Let's just hold this silence for a moment.

On is So,

I give you this journal prompt.

Start a list of,

I am okay with not having the answer to.

And make that list,

What are you okay with not having the answer to?

And see where this takes you.

This is the beginning of you finding a way to be unstuck by doing absolutely nothing,

Just waiting and allowing time to reveal exactly what is supposed to happen next.

And you'll be surprised.

Those answers are coming.

They're coming.

Deep breath in.

Let it go slowly.

Another deep breath in.

And let it go.

And I invite you to do that journal prompt now.

And afterwards,

Let yourself sit in meditation,

Not to try and make your mind silent,

But rather to let everything that you've just opened up to just spin around in your head without you catching any of the conversation,

Just letting it all spin around in there.

Sometimes I get my best inspirations through journaling.

So what is it that you are okay not having the answer to?

Feel free to message me and let me know if you have some really cool,

Profound moments.

I hope that for you.

Thank you so much for joining me.

Be well.
