Details
Growth rarely happens because we push harder. More often, it begins when we create the right conditions for change. For three days, you'll step away from the pace of everyday life and immerse yourself in an environment intentionally designed to support your nervous system, expand your awareness, and strengthen your capacity to meet life with greater clarity, presence, resilience, and joy. Together, Dr. Sukhi and Rev. Thomas DeSchutter will guide you through a carefully designed retreat that weaves together teachings rooted in neurophysiology, contemplative practice, guided breath-work, sound healing, nervous system regulation, meaningful conversation, reflection, and time in nature. This is more than time away. It is an opportunity to understand how lasting change actually happens. You'll learn the neurophysiology of growth and healing, experience those principles in your own body through guided practices, and leave with practical tools you can continue integrating long after you return home. Very few retreats offer both the science and the lived experience. This one does. Nestled beneath Mt. Benson on the shores of Westwood Lake, Bethlehem Centre offers a rare kind of quiet. Surrounded by forest, water, and open space, the environment naturally supports what so many of us struggle to find in daily life: the opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with ourselves. One of the things that stood out most after our retreat this past summer was how quickly people settled. - Shoulders softened. - Conversations deepened. - Laughter returned. People began seeing themselves, their relationships, and their lives from a different perspective. Not because anyone told them who to become. Because when the nervous system feels safe, our natural capacity for insight, healing, creativity, and connection begins to emerge. Throughout the retreat, Dr. Sukhi will share practical teachings that help you understand the biology behind change and how to create the conditions for greater health, resilience, and wellbeing. Rev. Thomas brings a complementary perspective through guided reflection and meditations, spiritual wisdom, and sound healing, creating space for those teachings to move beyond intellectual understanding into lived experience. Together, their approaches meet at the same truth: The wisdom you seek already lives within you. This is an intentionally intimate retreat, limited to fewer than 40 participants. - Small enough for meaningful conversation. - Small enough to ask the questions that matter. - Small enough to be seen, supported, and challenged in ways that simply aren't possible in larger events. If you've been feeling the desire to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and understand how to create lasting change from the inside out, we'd love to welcome you. The Courage to Grow isn't about becoming someone new. It's about creating the conditions to become more fully yourself.
