During this 5-day course, you will develop a better understanding of the power of your mind by learning how to more effectively manage your procrastination habit using mindfulness techniques and cognitive therapy concepts. This course will guide you toward new ways to recognize, manage, and relate differently to inner dialog as well as emotions that may contribute to the procrastination habit. You will explore how choosing to live according to your values and taking action to manage procrastination differently impacts your relationship with yourself. This course, which includes educational sessions, breathing practices, guided meditations, and journaling practices, will help you develop confidence and guide you toward accessing your true, courageous, authentic self.


Meet your Teacher

Kelly is a mindfulness meditation coach. She teaches stress reduction, mindfulness practices, healing, and meditation to all walks of life. Her holistic approach brings clarity, direction, and positive support to those with whom she works. Kelly helps people live their best lives, by filling the gap between where they are now, and where they want to be. She is also a Professional Counselor and has seen first-hand how a mindfulness meditation practice can reduce stress and enhance lives.

Lesson 1

What Is Procrastination And How Can Mindfulness Help?

Today we’ll be curious about exploring what procrastination is and some misconceptions about it. We’ll explore the concept of mindfulness and the ways mindfulness can help you gain some freedom from the procrastination habit. You’ll engage in some simple mindfulness practices to begin to help you build your focus and awareness muscles. By doing this, you will be able to begin the process of stepping back and managing procrastination more mindfully.

Lesson 2

Stopping The Procrastination Mind Battle

In our last session, I encouraged you to get curious about the concept of mindfulness and gave you some simple techniques to work with. Today we’ll be curious about exploring how procrastination shows up for you in your thoughts and emotions to gain a better perspective of what you’re experiencing and how you are relating to the procrastination. It is important to begin to have a clearer sense of what’s happening for you to be able to begin the process of gaining freedom from the procrastination habit.

Lesson 3

Identifying What’s Really Important To You

In the last session, we explored thinking patterns and emotions related you the habit of procrastination. Today we’ll explore your core values. Instead of getting caught up in the thinking, feeling, behaviors, and urges to avoid or put off whatever it is we are procrastinating, we can make the shift to resolve to act in alignment with what we identify as important to us. Many times, procrastination is in direct opposition to what’s important to us.

Lesson 4

Build Your Procrastination Management Plan

Now that you have some more awareness about what happens to you before and during the urge to procrastinate, we can dive a little deeper and explore the actual patterns of your procrastination habit. When you become aware of the actual patterns and resulting behaviors, you can develop a personalized plan to help you overcome the procrastination habit.

Making It All Stick

Yesterday, you began to explore your patterns, times of day, emotions, and thoughts and then developed the beginnings of a personalized plan for working with procrastination. In today’s session, we’ll review what you’ve learned in this course and explore ways to establish a successful rhythm with your action plan. We’ll use the power of your mind to help you visualize success!

I really enjoyed this course and learned a lot about myself and the tools I can use to work through my procrastination habits with a new focus and objectivity. It’s a very powerful course. Using mindfulness, thoughts, emotions and behaviors (CBT triangle), meditations, visualizations, and the Procrastination Management Plan, are all great ways for me to understand deeply why I’ve been procrastinating and what to do about it. I know it will take time for me to work through this. At least now, I understand the why behind my procrastination and how I can address it. I am challenged with exercise. I now know I’m avoiding the emotions I feel. They are strong because being healthy is one of my biggest values and my actions aren’t in alignment with my values. This was the best and most useful course on procrastination that I’ve ever taken here on the app or off. There are skills for motivation, emotion, setbacks, and all around, tackling things that you don’t want to face that need doing. I was able to finally get my house clean , after listening to the program and won’t feel like I’m a failure if I struggle with it again. Great course!
