Forgiveness Practice For Men - The journey from Head to Heart!

With Mitesh Oswal

The course being offered is specifically designed for men (women are more than welcome to take it as well) with an intention to help them be seen, acknowledged, and recognized for all they do and how they can find and embrace their sensitive side confidently “Forgiveness” is not a well-defined word in many cases and is mostly quite hard to understand and feel. This course is an experiential journey from the head to the heart!

Meet your Teacher

Mitesh, a student of different traditions, finally found his home in the friendship and teachings of Rupert Spira and Francis Lucille, two of the finest non-dual teachers. They have really shaped Mitesh's sense of belonging and contribution to this world. He has been leading meditations at his workplace for over 8 years with the theme of Happiness. A Software Engineer by profession, his love for Happiness and Truth finds different forms of expression in his work life as well. His meditations, inspired by Rupert, are a vehicle of wisdom and insight to share and reflect on the happiness we long for in daily life.

Lesson 1

Being Present to Receive!

We start off the course with a ripeness to receive this understanding by becoming present and open. This openness creates a doorway for words as a form of understanding to enter into our hearts.

Lesson 2

Being Seen!

Given the times we live in, there is very little awareness of the mental and emotional well-being of men in our culture. This makes them not seen and not heard. This is where we acknowledge the role men play in families, in raising kids, in communities, and at work!

Lesson 3

What is Forgiveness?

We start with defining the word ‘forgiveness’ and dispelling the misinterpretations of this word. This is a crucial first step in this course because forgiveness is an act of understanding and not an act of will. For understanding to penetrate our hearts, the definition needs to be clear and convincing!

Lesson 4

Why is it important to forgive?

Once we define the word, the next step is to understand why it is important to forgive – ourselves more than others (at least to begin with). Carrying the wounds around, we only cause more pain and harm to those who we love, especially ourselves!

Lesson 5

Creating a safe space for Our Past Self

This is an experiential exploration of the need for creating a safe space for our past self - for all our past and future mistakes. Mistakes are not for judgments but for wisdom and growth. We don't get manuals on how to live and the only way to figure it out is by making mistakes!

Lesson 6

Forgiving others and Seeing Them!

You cannot see others without seeing yourself! Just as we want to be seen and hesitate to be seen, others might be in the same boat. We can facilitate this healing for us and others (as a community). The decades of 'beating ourselves up' needs prolonged healing and a loving community!
