The Art Of Listening

With Mitesh Oswal

This is an experiential understanding of the basic human experience of 'listening' and its sacred role in our lives viz. to connect us to the world and help hear what the universe is telling us. The course navigates through explaining the external and internal 'listening' that is often lost in humdrum of life - a distinction that helps us realize the difference and interference of internal and the external. When we listen, we are tuning in with the universe around us and it can guide us appropriately. But, most of the times, we are lost in the sounds in our minds and completely cut off from the external surroundings! A profound insight about listening is that we can never turn it off unlike seeing. If we are truly listening i.e. listening without letting memory or past experience infiltrate our current experience, we can deeply connect with other people and nature around us. This will really help a sincere seeker get deeper into the understanding of their own mind!

I really appreciated the long pauses in what you were saying. It gave me a rare opportunity to be more aware that I was starting to focus on thoughts and when you paused mid sentence my mind would be confused not knowing what was next bringing me back to the present. You've given me new ways to listen. Thank you.
