COURSE

Ayurvedic Wisdom For Peaceful Sleep

With Jessica Inman

During this course, we'll be exploring sleep from the perspective of Ayurveda, and looking at factors that can inhibit, and factors that can help, your deep, peaceful sleep. We'll explore the Ayurvedic concept of the three doshas - the biological forces that govern our minds and bodies, and we'll specifically look at how the doshas influence our sleep patterns, and at how to identify which dosha is responsible for any sleeping problems, and you'll have the opportunity to assess for yourself which doshas have the most influence on your sleep. Each session focuses on a different factor of the day or evening that can potentially affect the quality of your sleep. We'll look at the times of sleeping and waking, the bedroom environment, the evening routine, and the times of eating during the day, examining the affect that these things have on sleep, and on each of the doshas, and looking at what can be done in each of these areas to encourage deep and peaceful sleep. By the end of the course, you will have identified any factors that are negatively impacting your sleep, and will have the tools to make changes to your habits and routines that will greatly benefit the quality of your sleep.
