You Are Safe

This is a reminder that you are safe. Right here in this moment you are safe. This meditation takes us out of our pain or sensations in the body or anxious mind. It helps to welcome you home and back to a safe place though mantras and affirmations.

Transcript

Hello and welcome to this guided meditation to feel safe and at ease.

This is a wonderful meditation if you experience chronic pain,

Anxiety,

Stress,

And it's a place to go where we can find comfort and ease.

So gently find a comfortable seat of your choice and let your eyes gently close.

Notice your breathing and begin to focus simply on the breath.

Breathing in deep into the belly,

Exhale slowly out through the nose.

Even if our mind is racing and we don't feel very relaxed as we begin to calm and slow the breath,

Our mind will also follow that path.

So simply focus on your breath in and out.

And in our mind as we breathe we will connect to a message of safety.

And even if you don't believe this message,

Say it inside with your breath,

Without judgment,

And see what happens.

So as you breathe in,

Fill your lungs and as you exhale say to yourself,

I am safe.

Breathing in,

Exhale,

I am safe.

Or you can simply say the word in your head,

Safe.

And as you say safe on your exhale,

Notice how your body responds,

Releasing any tension.

Now repeating the message,

I am at ease on your exhale.

Breathing in deep,

Exhale,

I am at ease.

Or simply say to yourself on your exhale,

Ease.

And as you say ease to yourself,

Let your shoulders melt down,

Release tension in the forehead,

The eyebrows.

Just let yourself relax into the present moment.

Like our mind is creating this story that isn't true,

Focus on the fact that right now you're safe.

And let yourself come back to that message throughout your day or night.

I am safe.

Taking a deep inhale into the belly,

And a full exhale as we bring the hands back down and slowly flutter the eyes open as we continue with whatever is going on for us.

The absolute best. One of my favorite tracks ever that I will definitely be coming back to often. I couldn't get myself to calm down from an anxiety attack and feel safe or grounded, tried a bunch of other things but this was so effective and soothing! I especially love when you said even if you don't believe it, tell yourself you are safe. Your very calming voice and calming tempo really did make me feel safer. You are very talented Colin.
