It is about noticing when attention has wandered and gently returning focus to the breath. That return is the practice. Counting the breaths can also help build concentration and make it easier to stay present.

This session is a basic guided meditation practice. Draw your attention to the sensations of the breath at the nose. When you notice your mind wandering, gently and lovingly return your focus to the breath. Repeat for the duration of the session.
