The mind and the body are intimately connected.

If your body is relaxed,

Your mind will follow.

And if your mind is relaxed,

Your body will follow.

So to relax the mind,

One simple and always available strategy is to take 10 slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Let's give it a try.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

Now let's go to the next one,

The next one.

Now we're going to take a deep breath in through the mouth.

Now,

We're going to take a deep breath out through the mouth.

Now,

We're going to take a deep breath in through the mouth.

Well done.

You can take 10 slow and deep breaths anytime you need to in response to stress,

As a lead-in to a meditation session,

Or as a way to relax before sleeping.
