The fact that you're a meditator ultimately means nothing.
There's no prestige to be gained.
No worldly attainments.
The amount of time you sit or don't sit is irrelevant.
All that really matters is this moment right now.
Are you present?
Are you observing reality for what it is as it is right now?
Because no matter how much you meditate,
If you find yourself lost in thought,
If you find your mind drifting,
If you find yourself unable to focus on what's happening,
If you find yourself lost in despair or anxiety or depression or rumination,
Or even good feelings,
Lust,
Desire,
Embracing beauty,
But you're not in the present moment,
You've lost the only thing that you really have right now.
The more we meditate,
The more we come to live in the present moment.
That's the whole point.
So whether you meditate or not,
Whether you practice or not,
That doesn't matter.
All that matters is this one moment.
