Emily Sara Rose is a professional counsellor, writer, and senior mindfulness teacher who bridges the gap between deep psychological rigour and lived human experience. With two Master’s degrees (International Development and Counselling) and a decade of experience as a yoga teacher and studio owner, Emily’s work moves beyond standard wellness to explore the intersection of mental health, social justice, and embodied ethics. She views mindfulness not as a retreat from the world, but as a practical skill for staying steady and connected when things feel overwhelming. Her trauma-informed approach helps people regulate their internal experiences, giving them the capacity to handle life’s intensity without numbing out. Based in the mountains of North East Victoria, Emily creates fierce-hearted spaces for healing through breath, movement, and critical reflection. Whether she’s untangling complex narratives in the counselling room, teaching a yoga class, or guiding a meditation on Insight Timer, her mission is the same: to help you find your own sense of true belonging—that place where your external life finally aligns with your internal truth. When she’s not in the clinic or on the mat, you’ll find her adventuring in the High Country, listening to 90s punk, or untangling life’s big questions over a good book.
