Lektion 1
Calm
On our first evening together, we reflect upon the idea that we meditate not only to alleviate our own daily stressors, but also to cultivate a sense of hope for our collective future. In our practice, we invite a sense of relaxation to flow down our bodies like wax drips down a candle. From this calm and expansive state, we’ll connect with the energy and wisdom of the setting sun.
Lektion 2
Awareness
Tonight’s practice is an invitation to explore awareness as a continuum, rather than as a quality we switch on or off. We’ll discuss what being aware might look and feel like at different stages along this continuum. As we meditate, we’ll breathe awareness into our mind, body, and heart and notice what this does to the memory of our day.
Lektion 3
Gratitude
In tonight’s practice we explore how the popularisation of gratitude on social media and in society has desensitized many of us to its transformational power. We share a moment of honesty by asking ourselves “What gets in the way of me and my naturally grateful self?”
From here, we reignite gratitude in our hearts, and let it radiate out into our home, our relationships, and the memory of our day.
Lektion 4
Confidence
Tonight's practice challenges the idea that confident people tell funny jokes, speak up at work meetings, and are untouched by self-doubt. Instead, it explores the liberating idea that confidence can sound like a whisper, not a roar, and that ultimately, real confidence includes allowing energy and experience to move within and around you without pulling you in. In our meditation, we’ll explore being with these energies without attachment.
Lektion 5
Energy
In tonight’s session we explore the idea that energy is not always about ‘love and light’ and that, actually, there are so many options for deepening your connection to energy. In our practice together you’ll connect with your inner world and your day. From here, you’ll continue to cultivate your capacity to experience and witness energy, without judgment or attachment.
Lektion 6
Perspective
Tonight we reflect upon how our busy and often stressful lives reduce our capacity to think clearly, to creatively problem solve and to bounce back from life’s challenges. And so this evening’s practice is all about creating a metaphorical clearing within the dense forest of your mind, so that you can see a challenge or situation you’re facing with a more expansive gaze.
Lektion 7
Compassion
Tonight’s practice is an opportunity for you to shine a gentle light of awareness onto the parts of your day that felt hard and the moments when your inner critic was loud. In the safety of your meditation practice, you’ll breathe a sense of awareness, space, and lightness into these memories. From here, you’ll connect with a wiser, more compassionate version of you.
Lektion 8
Connection
Tonight we explore the idea that when we’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure, we can use fear and love as a guide for decision making. In our evening practice we’ll get curious, noticing how fear has impacted upon our day. You’ll work on breath awareness and insight into these reflections, so that you can connect with any deeper wisdom available to you. From here, you’ll invite the energy of love to colour the memory of your day.
Lektion 9
Acceptance
In tonight’s practice we challenge the commonly held belief that self-acceptance can lead to apathy and laziness. Instead, we explore the liberating idea that self acceptance has a motivating quality to it, leading to growth, transformation and wise action. Tonight's practice is an opportunity for you to welcome the energy of acceptance into your physical, mental, and emotional bodies. From here, you’ll send it out to colour the memory of your day as you let go of resistance and invite in trust.
Lektion 10
Purpose
Tonight we reflect upon how the popularisation and commercialisation of ‘finding our purpose’ has detracted from the essence of this pathay for meaning and understanding. Together, we dare to ask “What if purpose is presence?”
In your practice, you’ll get creative as you tap into the power of your solar plexus and your hands.
Lektion 11
Integration
Tonight’s meditation is one you can listen to time and time again as you continue to strengthen your capacity to shift from doing to being at the end of your day. Whilst the words are the same, everytime you listen, your inner voice will have something different to say!
