Welcome to this healing appreciation meditation for your ankle,
A meditation where we will gain peace,
Healing and appreciate all of the wonderful things your ankle does for you every day.
The act of appreciation can be so beneficial for healing the ankle,
Especially if it's been through damage or trauma.
Seeing things in a different light and treating your ankle and yourself with more kindness can produce a natural,
Powerful healing effect.
Now coming down into this special moment,
Giving ourselves permission to relax,
Permission to let go of the day or the day to come.
Right now we are just living here,
Allowing the ankle to just sink with gravity or sink into whatever it is touching.
This process of letting go can really relax the muscles around the ankle,
The tendons around the ankle,
Allowing them to just sink into the external environment,
A safe,
Comfortable environment.
Noticing the sensory responses within the ankle,
The physical sensations.
If there's tingles,
Pressure,
Discomfort,
Maybe there's not much going on here,
That's okay.
Just noticing as it's relaxing within the environment.
Your ankle has done so much for you over the years,
So much stabilization,
So much flexibility for the foot.
This is such a wonderful complex joint,
Carrying all of your body weight every single day.
The amount of pressure it is built for is tremendous.
It has shown so much resilience and dedication throughout your life.
When the ankle gets hurt,
You just realize how important it is for normal daily functioning.
Walking,
Running,
Driving,
Even the simple act of standing up,
So important.
Let's appreciate this wonderful joint and how much it does for us as it rests in this environment,
Allowed to be soothed by the appreciation that is there,
Outside and inside.
This crucial joint deserves so much and right now it needs a little time to rest,
A little rejuvenation.
Let it do so and as it rests,
You rest too.
Just for now,
Just for this moment,
Resting and letting go with the ankle,
Sinking into the ankle with safety,
Becoming at ease with this masterful joint,
Saying to your ankle,
I appreciate you,
I appreciate you,
I appreciate you.
Your ankle appreciates you every single day,
Serving you without a favor needed back.
On the odd occasion,
It may need just a little time for rest.
Rest with your ankle.
Now as this meditation comes to an end,
Know that your ankle will always be here for you,
Trying its best each and every day,
Waking yourself back up,
Bringing your attention to your whole body,
Stretching it if you wish,
Allowing yourself to come back to the world and when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
