This course offers a simple, contemporary approach to working with that inner critic—through the practice of loving-kindness. Across five practical sessions, you’ll learn how to: Recognise and soften self-critical thinking. Respond to difficult emotions with more care. Build a kinder, more supportive inner tone. Extend that same understanding to others. Bring this practice into everyday life. Each session includes a short reflection and a guided meditation designed to feel practical, grounded, and easy to return to. You don’t need any prior experience, and there’s nothing to get right. This is not about becoming a different person. It’s about changing the way you relate to yourself, gently, and over time.

This session introduces a practical understanding of loving-kindness and why it matters. You’ll explore how the mind’s natural negativity bias shapes self-criticism, and how a small shift toward kindness can begin to regulate the nervous system and create space for change.

In this session, you’ll begin working directly with the inner critic. Rather than trying to get rid of it, you’ll learn how to relate to it differently, using simple, compassionate phrases that create a sense of emotional safety and reduce inner pressure.

This session gently expands the practice beyond yourself. You’ll explore how recognising the shared human experience can soften how you relate to others, and practice extending goodwill to people in your life, simply and realistically.

This session is designed for moments when things feel heavy or overwhelming. Instead of trying to feel better, you’ll practice meeting your experience with gentleness, reducing resistance, and learning how to support yourself during difficult times.

This final session focuses on bringing loving-kindness into everyday moments. You’ll explore how small, simple shifts in awareness and intention can change how you relate to yourself and others throughout the day.
