
Evening Gratitude Meditation
A deeply relaxing, evening meditation to fill the mind and body with the calm joy of gratitude. Affirmations are included to reinforce an awareness of moments to be grateful for throughout the day. Practice just before you retire to bed for a wonderfully rejuvenating sleep. Regular practice will bring much more joy into your life.

Evening gratitude reflection lay down on your back in a quiet place palms out by your side palms facing upwards towards the sky stretch out your legs and open them by 8 to 12 inches wherever feels comfortable for you and allow your eyes to close gently move a little to get really comfortable and relax feel the weight of your body sinking into peace and allow gravity to pull away the days tension relax the top of your head relax your forehead relax the eyes letting the eyeballs just drop into the back of the eye sockets no holding allow your jaw to drop open relaxing the whole face letting go,
Letting go,
Letting go relax the throat relax the back of your neck relax the shoulders and allow the arms to fall out of the shoulder joints,
No holding relax your upper arms then your lower arms and put your attention into the palms of your hands what can you feel in the sensitive hands?
Is there tingling?
Is there a fluctuation of temperature?
Does the whole palm feel the same?
Or is there lots of activity in the palms of your hands?
Relax the fingers relax,
Relax heavy body heavy body heavy body sinking into the surface you are resting on relax your chest relax your abdomen letting go of any holding or tension just feeling the gentle movements but to care with the swell of breathing relax your whole back feeling the whole back sinking into the bed or floor letting go feel your buttocks pressed into the surface you are resting on letting go of any holding feeling your thighs relax your calves sinking into the surface you are resting on heavy legs relaxing the feet and the toes relaxing the ankle joints feel as much of your whole body as you can the whole body the whole body the whole body now feel the breathing the expansion and contraction of the body letting the body inflate pause and deflate all by itself as the breath comes in say to yourself in your mind rising and as your breath leaves say in your mind falling rising falling remaining relaxed but wakeful and the mind wanders just bring it back to the breath rising falling notice that the breath is just like a calm ocean on a warm still evening like a gentle tide feel the breath coming in and filling you with life and as the breath leaves your relaxation deepens now as if watching a film in your mind run the day from the moment you woke up right to this present moment looking for a moment that stands out as something to be grateful for however simple the sound of rain a smile the sun on your skin a kindness that came your way a flower someone you connected with a win however small I will leave you for a moment to find this moment to be grateful for now bring this moment into your mind and turn up the experience turn up the colour the sound anything that will bring more life into that special moment be there again as fully as possible see it touch it feel it inside your body feel the emotions connected to it zoom in and amplify this special moment connect with the bliss of this experience and allow it to grow say thank you for whatever it is for example thank you for the warmth of the sun and keep repeating it aloud at first really feeling it really soaking it in feeling the growing joy deepening the experience repeating your thanks over and over now speaking it a little quieter and allowing the sound to grow quieter and to fade and as the energy in your voice quietens the vibration of gratitude goes deeper into you the joy increases and then saying it over and over in your mind while your body radiates the joy filling your heart with this bliss place your hand on your heart and say thank you for the gift of this breath the gift of life feel the warmth of your hand sinking into your heart the warmth of loving healing we will now start our affirmations I ask your subconscious mind for permission to accept these as a truth that slowly dawns upon you and brings great transformation into your life repeat after me either aloud or in your mind I will look for the good in each day and pause to cherish it I will look for the good in each day and pause to cherish it I will look for the good in each day and pause to cherish it I will focus on each small blessing until my heart is filled with joy I will focus on each small blessing until my heart is filled with joy I will focus on each small blessing until my heart is filled with joy when I am grateful great things happen to me when I am grateful great things happen to me when I am grateful great things happen to me I am aligned with the loving intention of the universe I am aligned with the loving intention of the universe I am aligned with the loving intention of the universe within me lies an invincible summer within me lies an invincible summer within me lies an invincible summer now come back to just breathing for a moment feeling the rising and falling of the breath you have just planted powerful life affirming seeds every time you listen to this program you are watering those seeds get ready for the beautiful new garden of life that will slowly begin to bloom in your everyday experience slowly move your body and enjoy the feeling of being alive coming back into the room relaxed connected to your body gently open your eyes when you climb into your bed later lay your head on your pillow and say thank you thank you thank you
