Meet your Teacher

Julie is a therapeutic yoga teacher and compassionate guide who specializes in helping people reconnect to their bodies, voices, and sense of self. Drawing from years of experience supporting clients through physical and emotional healing, Julie integrates evidence-based somatic practices, yoga therapy tools, and reflective journaling into her work. Her approach is deeply informed by her own journey of overcoming life’s challenges and rediscovering her authentic voice after periods of self-doubt and silence. She believes that when we free the voice, we free the self—and that this freedom ripples into every part of life. By gently softening and moving the face, jaw, and eyes, you create space for emotional release, a wider range of expression, and a freer, more authentic voice. Freeing The Breath

Day 5 centers on Freeing the Breath — exploring the ribcage, diaphragm, and abdomen as the foundation of voice and self-expression. When the breath is shallow, it limits resonance, constricts presence, and can even trigger stress responses that block authentic communication. By using mindful movement and fascial release, you’ll expand your breath capacity, calm your nervous system, and open more space for your voice to carry with clarity, confidence, and ease. Movement here is not just physical; it is the gateway to restoring both freedom and depth in your expression.

I really enjoyed Julie's course on freeing my voice. I would have liked more time built in within the practice to help slow down...Julie does invite you to 'pause' the recording but for me that doesn't work so well. However, I will return to this course again as I found it so helpful and the mantras powerful. Thank you Julie.
