In my life,
I have noticed the synchronicity of hearing the right phrase or having someone pose the right question at the right time that sends me into this rabbit hole of deep inner reflection or self-observation and coming out the other end a completely different person.
So today,
I pose to you 10 self-reflective questions.
You can bring a journal and a pen and pause after each question to deeply reflect,
Or you could just sit and listen as though we are friends having a conversation and see how these questions hit.
If you feel any kind of emotional response or physical response on any particular question,
That is the one to take a deeper look,
My friends.
So here we go.
Our questions today are around practicing allowing instead of resisting.
Question number one for you.
What areas of your life do you resist the most?
What areas of your life do you resist the most?
How does resisting change affect your emotional and mental state?
How does resisting change affect your emotional and mental state?
What would it feel like to allow things to unfold naturally?
What would it feel like to allow things to unfold naturally?
How do you feel in moments when you stop fighting and start accepting?
How do you feel in moments when you stop fighting and start accepting?
How can you practice being present with what is rather than what you wish were different?
How can you start to practice being present with what is rather than what you wish were different?
What would you gain from letting go of control in this area of your life?
What would you gain from letting go of control in this area of your life?
How does surrendering feel compared to fighting against reality?

What role does fear play in your resistance?
What role does fear play in your resistance?
How would your life change if you trusted that everything is unfolding perfectly?
How would your life change if you trusted that everything is unfolding perfectly?
And finally,
Can you identify a recent moment when allowing brought you peace?
And finally,
Can you identify a recent moment when allowing brought you peace?
And here,
My friends,
I would reflect on any feeling or sensation of resistance or avoidance,
Even if one of those questions brought up anger or sadness,
This is an excellent communication,
A very direct place to look,
And go a little deeper,
Dig a little deeper to see what you can find.
Your body may respond with a sense of heaviness in the chest or the stomach,
Indicating emotional resistance or anxiety.
You could feel an increased heart rate or muscle tension that could arise just from hearing these questions.
You could feel fear,
And that would be very,
Very normal.
So looking for the places where you feel some resistance just in hearing the question or going further with it.
You may also want to examine thought patterns around these questions.
Awareness of negative self-talk may elicit feelings of tightness in the jaw or throat,
Or a sensation of restlessness,
As the brain-gut axis reacts to looking at something that might be a little scary.
This is normal.
And finally,
When you feel the courage to go a little deeper,
Begin to challenge some of the assumptions or challenge some of the beliefs that you currently hold around what allowing means for you.
I feel very strongly that bringing awareness and finding our true selves,
Our higher selves,
Is the key to our happiest life.
And even though sometimes these questions may feel a little scary or overwhelming to unpack,
This is part of the journey of learning more about that wonderful self,
That radiant soul that you are.
Go slowly and with love and compassion,
And I am sure you will unearth the diamond that you are.
Take good care,
My friend.
