Welcome to this reading about opposition.
This wisdom that is from the Dao comes through the technology of the ancient system that guides us through times of change and the system is known as the I Ching.
To receive this wisdom as well as your own inner guidance which is part of this experience.
Please allow your body to relax,
Feel yourself grounding down and gently slowing the breath.
Focusing a little bit more on the exhalation and then on your next exhalation just allow your breath to gently find its own natural rhythm.
We're going to set an intention for the receiving so you can repeat with me or simply affirm once the intention has been stated.
I trust the wisdom I am receiving now from the I Ching through my own innate guidance is aligned with my highest good and for the greater good of all.
You can confirm by saying I trust.
Breathing in,
Exhaling and as you release the breath please also release expectations as we allow the mind to be open,
The heart to be gentle and the body to be relaxed.
So what does the I Ching say about opposition?
When this hexagram shows up in our life it can mean that we are already facing some conflict or division and if that is not happening directly in our own life it could be that we witnessing it in somebody else close to us or the world at large.
It can also be coming through in preparation for something of this nature that is about to take place in the very near future.
And the message is very clear to actively reconcile conflicts.
Now this may mean a very physical action or gesture is needed but even before that is the reconciling within.
In other words not to just hurry out and act without feeling.
So feel into the heart space when contemplating the tension,
The arguments,
The conflict and notice your own shadow,
Those dark parts that are sometimes difficult to see in the heat of the moment and sometimes they're difficult to see because the conscious mind doesn't want to see them,
Can be uncomfortable to see our own faults or errors.
But when this hexagram which is really it's a vibration that we are all experiencing in the collective,
When that is showing up for you it means that you are very much supported in this time to address your shadows,
To look at and feel into the opposition in a new and heartfelt way and then respond or act accordingly.
So the action is very much an important part,
It's not just inner work but if you haven't done the inner work yet,
Do that.
Take some time to sit with yourself and be very honest about the role that you are playing in this situation and then likewise being honest about the role that you can play going forward.
What direction,
Perhaps a new direction,
Can you take in this situation that is supportive not only for you or the other and for the entire dynamic which might include others on the periphery or maybe who are directly involved and sometimes this means compromise.
Now the two symbols of the two primary elements in this hexagram of fire above the leg both reflect compassionate unity,
Their ultimate and enlightened vibration is harmony.
So when we have conflict it is actually on the same wavelength as harmony,
Just like love and hate can swivel from one degree to another but it's part of the same wavelength.
Sometimes this perspective can help us to make the shift easier when we view it from these different points.
So see which one of these aspects talks to you and be with that and allow that to cultivate.
So going back to the fire and the leg which individually are welcoming in connectivity,
Connection with others,
Connecting from the heart space,
Because of the positioning fire being above the leg,
That is where the disconnect and why the disconnect can happen because the fire is rising up as it naturally is inclined to while water from the leg will naturally be inclined to go down and so it's these opposing directions that create the opposition.
Such a optimistic response where one moves slowly,
Carefully,
Taking things one step at a time.
Wise words from the I Ching say respond calmly and resolutely to difficulties that arise.
Act honestly and sincerely at all times and do things properly.
Don't take advantage of others and make sure that no one takes advantage of you.
Retaining your integrity and freedom of thought and will are the most important things in life.
Take a few breaths for yourself and again just return to your relaxed body,
Softening the heart,
Opening the mind and let's just be with this wisdom now quietly for the next minute as you receive your internal guidance in response to these messages.
Slowly releasing your focus and trusting that the processing will continue just as it needs to for you.
Take a moment of gratitude with hands of a heart center.
Gratitude for the messages you've received internally as well as from this ancient teaching and gratitude for your awareness and your choosing to be here today.
And from me to you,
Much gratitude for your interest in the Tao,
In the I Ching.
I'm wishing you well as you journey through this time of change and evolution.
A thousand bows and deep blessings from me to you.
