Was du lernen wirst
In this five-day celebration of the Winter Solstice, we'll learn some simple, enjoyable practices and meditations to bring you more deeply into alignment with this time of year. We'll explore some of the aspects of nature that are celebrated at this time and some ways that you can bring these celebrations into your own life, we'll look at some Ayurveda-inspired diet and lifestyle principles for your winter health, and we'll practice some meditations, yoga nidra and reflection exercies connected to themes of the season. The Winter Solstice is the darkest time of the year and we tend to naturally turn inwards at this time, expending less energy and making space for rest and rejuvenation, and this course is intended to bring you some insight and enjoyment at this time. Lektion 1
The Darkest Time Of The Year
At the Winter Solstice, we experience the shortest day and the longest night of the year. In this first session, after an introduction to the course, you'll be guided through a meditation to experience the Solstice through the eyes of your ancestors. Long ago, before there were any modern technologies, the focus for the winter would have been on survivial, and the Solstice would have been an important time of acknowledgement that the longer days would be returning. You'll be guided through a Solstice visualisation as if you were living in those times and experiencing the darkening nights... and the promise of the sun's returning light.
Lektion 2
Celebrating The Winter Solstice
During the winter, we celebrate light and fire, evergreen plants and animals which remain active as they remind us that life does continue to thrive, even when it may not seem like it, and that lighter days will return. In this session, we'll look at some ways to celebrate the season and some of the things that are often connected with this time.
Lektion 3
Winter Wellbeing
In this session we'll explore some Ayurvedic principles to support our health and immunity in the winter, including some of the best types of food to eat and a spiced milk recipe to support the immune system.
Lektion 4
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a great practice for the Winter Solstice because we don't have to do anything or be stimulated in any way - we simply rest, receive the practice, and allow healing and rejuvenation to naturally happen. In this session, you'll practice a restful Yoga Nidra to turn inwards, rest and just 'be.'
Lektion 5
Aligning With The Season
In our final session, we'll spend some time exploring how some of the themes of the Winter Solstice are arising in our own lives, with a guided meditation to spend a dark night in a cave with a symbolic rebirth at sunrise. We'll look at this time of the year as a time of infinite possibility and open ourselves to receive inspiration for the new cycle to come.

It’s valuable for me to align with and honor each season’s passing-it reconnects me nature and a larger view-so I very much appreciated this course, including the meditations and pauses for personal reflection. Well done and thank you!🙏🏼

Thank you. I quite enjoyed the new thoughts that came to me during the course. I always stay closely tied with the solstices. This time I’m bringing a new outlook into this winter solstice and I’m looking forward it. 💫🌲
