Shannon Butt is a meditation teacher, yoga instructor, and peer support worker who blends mindfulness, movement, and lived experience to create trauma-informed spaces for self-discovery and healing. Living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and with personal experience in trauma, addiction, and recovery, Shannon offers a grounded perspective on what it means to heal and grow. Her work is guided by honesty, compassion, and the belief that real change begins with meeting yourself where you are. She holds certifications in Yoga Teacher Training and Peer Support, and also works as a public speaker and advocate, sharing her story to increase awareness and understanding of FASD and neurodiversity. In 2024, she created Anchor, an eight-week program that blends mindfulness, nervous system education, and practical tools to help people build a supportive inner foundation. Anchor reflects Shannon’s approach to healing—small, steady steps rooted in self-trust and self-compassion. Shannon’s meditations on Insight Timer are gentle, inclusive, and easy to follow. Each one is designed to be bite-sized and accessible, helping listeners reconnect to their bodies and breath without pressure or perfection.
