The Present Moment
The mind is the source of practically all of our suffering. Coming back to the present moment through the lens of our senses can liberate us from mind-made suffering. Today, you’ll be guided through a meditation that grounds you into the present through your physical senses.

Deepening Present Centered Awareness
In this session, you’ll learn ways to move attention from thinking to the present moment with and without meditation. This way you can train the attention to be where life is happening and not where we often spend much of our time, remembering the past or imagining future scenarios.

Dropping Resistance For Peace & Power
Suffering happens when we mentally resist. When we resist sensations or perceptions, a life situation, or our own thoughts, we create some level of suffering. When we accept what is in the moment, even if it feels unacceptable, we can know peace. We can also simultaneously empower ourselves to positively change in this process.
Today, you’ll learn more about this, then be guided through a meditation to help you practice.

The Power Of Positive Momentum
Starting to create positive emotions as soon as you wake up can powerfully affect your day. We all have challenges in life. The happiest among us practice gratitude more than they think about what’s judged as wrong, bad, or missing.
Today, you’ll be taken through easy-to-follow exercises to start your day off on the right foot and hopefully have a better day.

Say Yes
If you want to be happier, it’s important to cultivate a positive attitude. This isn’t ignoring problems that need to be addressed. Instead, it’s a conscious choice to dwell on what is wanted and to lean into it mentally, with the senses, and practically as well.
Today, we''ll have a discussion and prompts to reflect on your own life.
Lição 9
Nurturing: Practicing Kindness & Compassion Toward The Self
Sometimes, things get really hard. Beating yourself up hasn’t been shown to be very effective. It’s more like kicking yourself while you’re down. In this session, we’ll explore ways to nurture yourself when you need it most and you’ll be given prompts to explore what works best for you. You’ll also be guided through a meditation on kindness and compassion toward the self.

This session will be a tying in of key points from the course. It will be driving home some of the most important points that can help you feel better more often. The session and course will conclude with a guided meditation.
