Hello everyone,
Welcome to this meditation for taking a break.
Here we will take approximately 30 minutes to just take it slow,
Unwind and relax.
This time is crucial in this busy world,
Where a lot of information is processed and absorbed by the brain,
Where emotions may be running high and things may be chaotic.
Think of this meditation as a gentle rewiring of the brain,
As a way for it to rest in the natural order of things.
This meditation is not another activity that you're doing in the day.
It's you taking a break from all the activities.
There's nothing you can do wrong.
A natural way to unwind and get some well-needed rest.
Take the opportunity now to go to a safe,
Comfortable environment.
Turning your phone on silent for the next while,
Away from any potential distractions of the world.
Now it's time for you to rest and recuperate in your own naturalness.
Gently allowing yourself to sink into the structure that you are on.
The structure that supports you in this very moment.
Allow your body to give in to it.
To let it go at this time.
Breathing in and giving a big sigh out as you let go.
Releasing your muscles.
Releasing your bones.
Releasing the very skin that wraps around you.
Slowly and gently,
Allowing the whole organism just to sink into the support.
The support holds the space for the vessel that is your body.
You are supported.
You are safe right now.
Gently notice the surroundings.
The surrounding air as it flows in and out of your lungs.
See it as it is.
Not forcing.
Natural breath.
It just comes in and out.
Like a warm seashore nourishing the coastline.
Or a gentle breeze on a summer's day.
Restorative and natural.
The breath does vital work for your whole system.
Free and abundant.
It asks and expects nothing in return.
Not forcing the breath at all.
Just bringing a gentle noticing to it.
Gentle.
Subtle and subtle.
Naturalness.
It just comes and goes.
There's no effort at all on your part.
It just happens.
Allowing yourself to gently open up to your whole system.
Your body.
Your brain.
Your mind.
Even continuing to be aware of your breath if you wish.
Just being natural.
Allowing the process of nature to take over.
Seeing yourself as a completely natural organism.
Just resting here in this space.
If your thoughts are with you at the moment.
Not seeing them as a distraction.
Seeing them as a frequency coming out of the brain.
Just allowing.
The mind is just processing everything.
Allowing for it to do this.
There is no need to get involved.
Just allowing the mind to process whatever is there.
Allowing for the waves of thoughts.
Surrendering to it all.
Without being consumed.
A silent mind is not the ideal.
Just releasing your expectations and surrendering them.
Let nature take over.
Whatever is,
Is.
There's nothing you can possibly do wrong within these moments.
Think of yourself like the water in the ocean.
It may be still and calm.
There may be a sense of choppiness to the water.
But whatever way the water moves,
It just is.
There's no right or wrong.
Allowing yourself to sink into the naturalness of the moment.
Remembering that this break is for you.
A way for you to surrender.
A break from the outside world.
Me,
The meditation guide,
Is not a rule maker here.
Not an authority figure at all.
You are the one that's in charge of yourself.
As a result,
You may see the natural order and structure that exists within.
The patterns within the fluidness.
Allowing yourself to notice and sink into it all.
Away from everything,
Yet with all that really matters in this moment.
Noticing your body's sensory responses.
It could be a warm or relaxed heavy feeling.
Allowing the natural response to be there.
Maybe you could have a sense of tension within your body.
Or mind.
It's just your system doing what it does.
Maybe you could have a sense of neutrality or emptiness.
Allowing the natural response to be there.
It could be a mixture of all of these.
Changing second by second.
If this is the case,
Allowing the natural response to be there.
Notice it all,
No matter what it is.
Like a bird cooped up in its nest.
It may be windy.
It may be sunny.
It may be rainy.
It just watches onwards.
The bird doesn't force.
It cannot change the weather.
It just notices.
It remains centered in its nest as changes happen around it.
Rest in your nest.
There's nothing for you to do.
Whatever your awareness comes and goes to,
Let it come and go.
Natural awareness.
Dropping your conclusions about meditation and what it should be.
Sinking into your naturalness.
As you rest here,
Just noticing the air around your body.
The subtleness of it.
Is there a breeze?
Noticing what's touching your skin at the moment.
Bringing in some positional awareness for your body.
Where is it in relation to the structure you are lying on?
As you gently wake back up from this meditation,
Pay attention to the slight rise and fall of your chest from your natural breath.
Pay attention to the space you may have created for yourself because of this meditation.
Waking yourself back up gently.
Starting by moving your fingers slowly but surely.
Your toes.
Stretching your body.
Gradually becoming aware of your surroundings.
If you wish,
Take a big cleansing deep breath in through your nose and whenever you're ready,
Out through your mouth.
Opening your eyes whenever you decide to.
There is no rush and this meditation doesn't have to be the end for you.
You can continue to be in this space for as long as you wish.
Like the bird,
It is not forced to move from its nest.
It decides its own natural path.
I thank you so much for listening and do come back whenever you wish.
Take care.
