Meet your Teacher

Nikki Heyder is a somatic psychotherapist, coach, and yoga teacher. She holds a Master's in Counseling Psychology and actively pursues further education within her areas of expertise. She has completed her Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner training with Dr Gabor Mate as well as other certifications around topics such as applied polyvagal theory, trauma, interpersonal neurobiology, and Buddhist psychology. Nikki is an advocate for a compassion-focused approach helping her clients all over the world to meet themselves with more acceptance.

Very helpful course to understand mind and body relationship. I liked the short sessions with take away actions. The examples did not all resonate with my experiences, but we're clear to explain the concepts.

Wow! Loss of words (not something that happens often😉). Many Thanks for this Incredibly life-changing, life altering course. It was presented with such love and a gentleness that carried me through and through. Truly appreciate the clear and concise manner in which the tools were gifted to me. By the last day of the course, I was genuinely eager to look at my anxiety, to follow it, to learn and understand from it. Best of all, to put the anxiety to rest by way of self trust, support, positive affirmations and daily gratitude practice in which all of my (5) senses are used to embrace that gratitude. Feeling safe in my environments and my own skin and bones, disappeared shortly after my young mother and I immigrated to America from former Yugoslavia. My mother died at the tender age of 33. I was 7 and moved into foster care. I am 45 and can honestly write that the loss, the abandonment, the abuse, the neglect has deeply wounded me. Need one say more?? Yet, as this post is written, my heart space is resonating with an overwhelming feeling of warmth, possibility, safety, and hope. All experiences that were once foreign and impossible may no longer be. And for this, with my every morsel n fiber, am most grateful and thankful to Nikki for sharing her gift with us.
