Welcome to today's meditation.
Go ahead and find yourself in a comfortable seated or even if you would like to for today's meditation you can be lying down just ensuring that your knees are bent so that we remain some form of consciousness in the body and we don't drift off to sleep.
But regardless of what you choose finding yourself in a comfortable spot ensuring that there are no distractions around you,
Ensuring that your body feels you know safe and secure and connected to the room and to the next 10 minutes of meditation practice.
In today's meditation we're going to be focusing on protecting your energy,
Protecting it in a visualization way which is going to help you to operate in the world with less reactivity and more responsiveness to realize that not everything is yours to carry and that not everything is yours to hold and not everything needs to have an impact on you in a way that may cause you discomfort.
Many of us operate in the world really feeling or becoming empathetic to other people's reactions,
Choices,
Decisions,
Energy and subconsciously or unconsciously without even realizing it.
We take this on board and it affects our energetic load.
It means that we become fatigued and tired.
We feel heavy as a result.
This meditation practice is built upon a self Reiki practice that I learned many years ago in order to just help you start your day especially if you work around or with other people to keep you in a beautiful state of calm and protectiveness.
So let's begin by closing our eyes down if they are not already closed.
Taking three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth today to just center our bodies into the room.
So inhaling together and releasing.
Two more breaths just like this.
Deep inhale all the way into the pit of the belly.
Cleansing exhale.
One more time breathing in full expansion into the rib cage,
The diaphragm,
The stomach and then when you're ready a long audible exhale through the mouth.
Bringing the breath back to a neutral regular pattern and just adjusting the body ever so slightly if you need to.
You want to make sure you're comfortable.
So bringing some mindfulness into the parts of the body that are connecting with the earth or the seat.
So this might mean just noticing the weight of the legs or the length of the spine in the back.
Noticing the way the shoulders are sitting.
Noticing the eyelids,
The forehead,
The jaw.
Just being totally present with your body.
I now invite you to bring your attention to your third eye.
So this is the space in the middle of your eyebrows.
See if you can bring your point of concentration here and I want you to visualize a white light,
A golden light,
A warm protective pure light.
See if you can focus on this color and just breathe with it for a few seconds.
This light represents protection.
It represents your connection to divine source and it acts as an energetic invisible shield which keeps you safe from unwanted energy,
Unwanted projections,
Thoughts,
Reactivities from the outside world.
This is what we call an energetic boundary.
Spend a few moments to really feel into what it feels like to be safe,
What it feels like to be protected,
What happens to your body when you know that you're safe,
What happens to your breath when you know that you're safe.
As you think of these things,
Keep focusing on the golden white light in front of you.
Now I want you to imagine that this light,
This golden orb is getting bigger,
It's expanding and soon you actually see it in front of you like a ball,
A round ball of golden light.
Watch as this orb or this ball travels from in front of you to above your crown or the top of your head,
Sitting like the Sun.
It's just moving ever so gently hovering over the top of you.
Maybe you can already feel its protective energy,
Its warmth.
Slowly the orb lowers and it rests on the top of your head and like another layer of skin,
It starts to wrap and engulf your entire body,
Trickling over your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheekbones,
Your jaw.
It continues to fall over you,
Covering every inch of your being in protection,
In the light,
In warmth,
Acting as a shield to keep you safe.
Can you feel the warmth as it moves over different parts of your body like a warm hug from someone you truly love?
Allow the breath to embrace this white light as it travels over your being,
Moving down your belly,
Down your back,
The sides of your body,
Your thighs,
Engulfing your knees,
Your calves,
Your ankles,
All the way down to your toes and every crevice of your toenails and skin.
If you were to look at yourself from the outside in,
You would see a being that is completely protected,
That is completely glowing,
That is safe within the walls of the light of purity that comes from source.
Enjoy being here for a few moments and really allow yourself to become acquainted with this energy.
Before you finish up today's meditation,
Repeat to yourself,
I am safe,
I am protected,
I am safe,
I am protected,
I am safe,
I am protected.
Spend as long as you need to here but know that even when you come out of meditation,
This light,
This energy,
This force field is not leaving you.
It is with you for the entirety of your day,
For the entirety of your life.
If you ever feel disconnected from this protective layer,
Simply return back to this meditation to re-engage with it and to remember your power.
Whenever you feel ready,
You can gently start to move your body,
Flutter open your eyelids and return to the present moment.
Your meditation practice for today is now complete.
