Welcome to this course, created with you in mind. It’s made up of three insightful lessons designed to guide you through the art and science of Pranayama—Yogic breathwork. Lesson 1 explores the history and evolution of Pranayama. You'll learn foundational breathing techniques to clear the nasal passages and balance active and passive energies. We’ll also examine how breathwork influences mood and emotion, beginning with simple ancient practices and controlled breathing. Lesson 2 takes you deeper into the practice. You’ll discover methods like diaphragmatic breathing to enhance lung capacity, support physical well-being, and foster mental transformation. We’ll also dive into the yogic physiology of the nose and discuss optimal breath volume. Lesson 3 introduces the subtle, 'electrical' nature of breath and how to manage this energy for inner balance. This lesson includes techniques to engage the thoracic region and optimize lung function using bandhas—Yogic locks that redirect energy flow. This course is suitable for all levels of practitioners and aims to offer a meaningful and transformative experience.
