Imiloa Institute is a rainforest sanctuary where every space is designed to invite rest and renewal. You’ll stay in one of Imiloa’s beautifully appointed homes & suites, bungalows, or domes—each with thoughtful details, comfortable bedding, and sweeping views of the jungle canopy or the distant Pacific. Common spaces include an infinity pool overlooking the mountains, lush gardens, walking paths through the rainforest, and open-air gathering areas that foster both connection and solitude.

Meals at Imiloa are more than nourishment—they are an extension of the retreat. Expert chefs prepare vibrant, plant-based dishes that are as filling and flavorful as they are restorative. Every meal is colorful, seasonal, and crafted with care to support both your body and your experience. Guests consistently rave about the food—including those who normally eat meat and dairy—often calling it one of the most memorable parts of their stay. In addition to three abundant meals each day, you’ll enjoy access to the freshest fruit and satisfying snacks between meals. Special dietary needs—vegan, gluten-free, or allergen-sensitive—are gladly accommodated, ensuring every guest feels cared for. Note: Imiloa is a dry campus. Alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana are not aligned with the property values and are prohibited.

Schedule

Each day of the retreat is designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit. Days will support periods of silence, as well as heartfelt conversations that nourish community. Between sessions, you can relax by the infinity pool, enjoy rejuvenating spa treatments (available for an additional fee), wander jungle trails, and take in sweeping views of the ocean. Daily schedule might include: -Morning pranayama and meditation with Richard -Chef prepared breakfast with fresh, local ingredients -Morning mindful movement, meditation, and yoga nidra with Richard -Chef-prepared lunch -Leisure time to enjoy the pool, jungle trails, or a quiet rest -Afternoon teachings, meditation, and discussion with Richard -Time for reflection, journaling, or spa treatments (optional) -Dinner with the group -Evening teachings, meditation, and discussion with Richard

7 days / 6 nights at the luxury Imiloa Institute

An easy travel experience. Once you arrive in San Jose, your registration includes a 25 minute charter flight with other retreat guests and then a ride by luxury SUV to Imiloa Institute. (You must be at the SJO domestic terminal by 8:45 AM for the charter flight at 9:30 AM. Your flight must leave after 1:00 PM on the 8th.)

Three gourmet, plant-based meals per day. Including snacks, fruits, juices, coffee, and tea available throughout the day.

Access to Imiloa’s private waterfall, river, yoga shala, shared ocean view pool, gardens, and many jungle trails perfect for exploration and meditation.

24/7 access while on campus to the front desk concierge & onsite retreat team.

Not Included

International and domestic flights to San Jose.

Cancellation policy

The remaining balance for the retreat is due 30 days prior to the start date. If this balance is paid earlier than these 30 days, you are eligible to cancel and receive a full refund of this remaining balance, provided you do so at least 30 days before the retreat begins.
