In this journey, you will come to realize that you are not confined to the waking state, the dream world, or even deep sleep. You are the unchanging awareness that witnesses all of these states. In our everyday life, the waking state often ties us to societal expectations and mental patterns that obscure our true nature. During dreams, we experience a temporary freedom from this, yet we are still guided by subconscious desires. Deep sleep provides rest, but it too is a temporary escape from our limited identity. This meditation encourages you to go beyond these transient states, to recognize that you are not defined by them. As you practice, you will begin to perceive yourself as light—the pure consciousness that remains constant, regardless of the state of mind or body.
