Lesson 1

Take 5 Breath

In this session, we practice the Take 5 Breath, which combines the use of counting, intentional hold, and repetition to bring your body into a space of regulation.

Lesson 2

Box Breath

Using a combination of visual stimulation, intentional hold, and repetition, the box Breath is an easily accessible tool that you can use to deescalate and calm the mind.

Lesson 3

4:7 Breath

Enter into a space of natural breathing with this 4:7 breath, known to tranquilize the nervous system with an exhalation that is twice as long as the inhalation.

Lesson 4

Wave Breath

The wave breath is a beautiful breath that creates an even exchange of energy - focusing on a balanced inhalation and exhalation while introducing the use of imagery.

Lesson 5

Nurturing Breath

By placing the hands on the body and then breathing into the space behind the hands where they meet the skin, we extend nurturing compassion and seek to hold ourselves.

Breathe count was too slow. It sometimes made me breathless too early. But guidance was great. I adjusted my breath patterns based on my comfort and followed the guidance.
