The first step in protecting and shielding yourself from pain is to let go, release and forgive. In this meditation, you will be guided with gentle words to dissolve your pain and hurt. Let go of your anger, start the process of kindness and compassion, of protecting and shielding your heart.

In today's practice,

We're going to take some time being gentle,

Being kind and compassionate with ourselves as we sink into a process of protecting and shielding.

We will recognize the importance of loving ourselves enough to set boundaries.

This process is important.

It's vital to your survival.

It does not mean that you will be cutting people or places or things out of your lives,

But simply putting boundaries around them,

Taking back your power,

Reclaiming your own energy and letting go of things like anger and hate.

Holding on to that anger simply robs you of your happiness and your joy.

Sink back and get comfortable.

Allow your breath to come and go as it naturally would.

And as we begin,

Gently close your eyes,

Feeling supported by the chair,

The floor,

The bed,

Whatever surface it is that you find yourself on today.

Be protective of your heart and your spirit.

Protect your space and your circle.

Trust in people who you know will feed you just as much goodness as you do them.

Protecting and shielding can be a difficult process.

It calls us to bring to mind people who have caused us hurt.

Those that have caused us pain.

To see those who have caused us to suffer through the eyes of compassion.

When another person makes us suffer,

It's often because they suffer so deeply within themselves that their suffering is spilling over.

Sometimes we need to forgive before we can move on.

Take some time here.

Sit in the quiet and forgive.

Let go of that anger.

Start this process of kindness and compassion,

Of protecting and shielding.

Know in your heart that to heal from any hurt,

You must forgive those who have caused you pain.

When you hold onto resentment or anger towards another person,

You simply are giving that person power over your own heart.

By forgiving them,

You're not saying that their actions were acceptable,

That you deserved to be treated that way or hurt.

You are simply cutting ties with them,

Energetically releasing yourself from the pain.

You set yourself free.

Look to the people who have caused you pain and see them for the human being that they are.

Recognize that if you hold onto your anger,

It becomes toxic.

It weaves in and out of every facet of your life and every fiber of your being.

It robs you of your happiness.

Today,

Here in this space,

Forgive them and replace your pain with peace.

You have the ability within you to shield yourself from harsh and negative energy.

Take a moment to visualize yourself being covered in a beautiful,

Protective glow of white light,

Head to toe,

Foot to hand,

Hearts,

Mind,

Body and spirit.

Allow this light to provide you protection,

To shield you and ward off any ill will.

Whenever you are encountered with people,

Places and things that have made you feel anything less than the amazing person that you are,

Call on your white light.

Call on it to come strong,

Pure,

Brilliantly,

To wrap you up,

To weave in and out of every crevice that makes you you,

To protect and to shield.

You can choose who you let into this light.

You can choose whether or not to give people power over your heart.

Reclaim your power today.

Be protective of your heart and your spirit.

You are worthy of respect.

You are worthy of love.

You are worthy of healing.

And you are worthy of peace.

Allow these boundaries to shield and protect you.

Love yourself enough to set boundaries.

Your time and energy are precious.

You get to choose how you use it.

Choose love.

Choose peace.

You teach people how to treat you by deciding what you will and will not accept.

Find in your power today,

Breathing,

Being,

Showing the world how you show up in your truest form.

Embrace your individuality.

Respect your uniqueness.

You deserve to be treated with respect,

Regardless of what makes you different.

Choose to replace your pain with peace.

Stay here breathing.

Just breathing.

And set yourself free.

You are worthy of respect.

A really empowering meditation. I liked that it gets back to reclaiming your power. I also liked using compassion to forgive those who hurt us since it is their own suffering "spilling out" that leads to them hurting others. It's a helpful perspective.

100% 😍🤗 Live with my sister who gaslights, behaves unkindly verbally abusive, clearly suffering within. She really get volital screaming till she losses her voice. I remove myself responding vs. past reacting and confrontation after being pushed beyond what anyone should tolerate. She ruminates complaining about the same things from a victim mentality. But How do I protect my boundries when I feel like I am walking on eggshells? I can’t change her only make it clear what is unacceptable. It seems impossible to speak to her as she doesn’t listen and assumes continually. It’s exhausting. My reinforcement of boundries makes her anger because she has pushed me around for over 50 years. Sadly none of my family wants to be around her. She is so caring and helpful to other people. Her proving she’s a good person. But brings home her misery. Now she will be working remotely from home again. I refuse to be a victim codependant any longer. There is no gratitude in complaining.

That was amazing! I just had a terrible evening because I got triggered by an old trauma but that meditation, the caring but strong voice lulled me and took away that anxiety pain in my sternum.
