Letting Go Of Grief
The process of grieving is a deeply emotional one. In this practice, we seek to heal heartache and allow for the letting go of grief and hold on to the memories of our loved ones. It is not an easy process by any means, but one that can deeply assist in our emotional healing after a loss.

Welcome back to Sweet Stella's.
Today's meditation is one that is best done lying down or sitting in a place where you are fully supported.
Wrapped in a cozy blanket,
Familiar scents in the air.
Take time today to set your intention,
To create your environment and to invite healing into your space.
Our meditation today may be extremely emotional.
We are dealing with the theme of grief,
Of death and dying.
Take a deep breath in.
Let your heart fill up with love.
And if you feel yourself getting emotional at any time during this session,
Know that it is okay.
Know that you're not alone.
And know that every time you let a tear fall,
Your heart opens up and you're able to heal from that hurt.
If there's someone that you want to invite into your healing right now,
Bring them to mind.
Perhaps it's someone who's passed away that you miss in the very depths of your soul.
Perhaps it's someone or something that you recently had to say goodbye to.
And even though they're still here,
They're still around.
They're gone.
They're gone from your circle.
In your reality,
They serve no purpose anymore.
There's still an element of grief there.
And there's still something that may hurt because they're no longer there for you.
Whatever that means for you today,
Bring it to mind now.
Envision it.
Think about your last memory with that person you care for so deeply.
Their laugh,
Their smile,
The touch of their hand.
Breathe deeply and draw them into your heart.
The process of grief is a very,
Very difficult and deep one.
It's something that never really leaves.
It's always there in the back of your mind.
There's always times where something will happen and you'll want to pick up the phone and call that person to let them know.
And then you realize they're not there.
How could you possibly talk to them?
Letting go of your grief doesn't mean you're letting go of them.
Letting go of your grief simply opens up your heart for an abundance of joy,
An abundance of happiness,
And it casts away the fear,
The anger,
The resentment.
All of those negative emotions that are associated when you lose someone.
Today in your practice,
Wherever you're sitting or lying down,
Feeling fully supported,
Fully enveloped in care and compassion,
Give yourself permission to let go of your grief.
Give yourself permission to be free,
To live the life you've always imagined.
You're deserving of happiness.
You're deserving of joy and of love.
The cloud of grief doesn't need to hang over you anymore.
If you've experienced any panic or any anxiety as a result of your grief,
Now is a time for you to stand in your power and to say that those feelings hold no control over you.
Your heart may be breaking.
It may be trembling with the very thought of letting anyone else in,
But there will come a day where words will be sweeter,
Colors will be brighter,
And you will be able to let love in again.
In these moments of grief,
Hold yourself with gentle loving kindness.
Be patient with yourself.
Be loving to yourself and know that you're not alone.
There are so many people out there that experience grief every single day,
That wear a mask and pretend that it's all right,
That are breaking on the inside.
Know that you're not alone,
That from time to time we all feel this way.
We all miss someone or something.
Today stand up,
Stand in your power and let go of your grief.
Hold onto those beautiful memories that you've created with that person.
Hold onto their laugh,
Their smile,
The touch of their hand.
Hold onto the love that you have for them,
But let go of the grief.
Free yourself from its bonds.
Know in your heart that you are deserving of happiness,
That that person or that thing that you miss so dearly was here to teach a lesson,
That your experience with them,
The things you encountered,
Were not a coincidence.
They played an integral part in shaping who you are today,
As did the moment when you said goodbye.
It shapes and transforms you in a way that no other experience can.
Hold those experiences close.
Hold them close in your heart.
Wrap them up in your love and in your compassion.
And as you take a deep breath,
Cleansing your body,
You let go of the grief.
As you sit in these final moments of stillness today,
Build on those beautiful memories,
The happy ones,
The ones that fill your heart with love,
That set your soul on fire.
Let go of your grief today.
Let your heart be free.
And only in your own time today,
When it feels right for you,
Gently bringing your awareness back to the present moment,
Back to the space that you're in,
Wiggling fingers and toes,
Taking a final deep breath,
Letting everything go,
And opening your eyes.

I needed this, 10 years this week since my husband, my soulmate died… I’m remarried now, to a lovely man, but will never stop loving my soulmate… my suffering pops up from time to time, usually unexpectedly, but I carry my grief alone as it’s not fair to share it with my current husband, I did that in the beginning and saw that although he was empathetic it made him feel second best… Thank you for sharing! 😊
