Relaxation is key to falling asleep fast. Becoming relaxed prepares your body and mind to drift off to sleep. Several activities in particular can help promote sleep, including breathing exercises. I will guide you through this particular breathing exercise, step-by-step, which focusses on your exhale and activating your vagus nerve.

Slow, Tranquil Coherent Breathing

Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts. Whenever your mind becomes scattered, use your breath as the means to take hold of your mind again. In this lesson we will discover Coherent Breath also known as slow breathing - long, slow, deep, fine, equal and tranquil breaths. Slow breathing up and down the body. By breathing slow you receive more oxygen and more energy.

One: Two Breath Technique For Drifting Into Sleep

The One Two breath is a wonderfully simple, but very effective breathing technique to help you drift into a deep peaceful night's sleep. This exercise decreases your nerve activity in your sympathetic nervous system and increases the influence of your more quieting parasympathetic nervous system, which regulates your relaxation response. A slow soothing rhythm.

Recap And All Three Breathing Techniques Together

You have learnt some very relaxing techniques to help you breathe better and aid you into better sleep. Learning to breathe better is free and relatively simple to do, but may take some time to get there. In this lesson you will learn how to transition from one exercise to the next, when you are ready for a deep night's sleep. I’m so glad that you have had the opportunity to explore 3 different techniques for breathing into sleep. Along with tips, advice and guidance to bring about better sleep patterns for you, these will all result in a deeper and longer night’s sleep.
