In this 10 week course you'll listen to 10 different lessons and 10 different meditations that will take you on beautiful adventures. This course and the practices inside it will help you let go of worries and feel happy and calm for the rest of the day. For both parents and teachers, know that by playing this 10 week course you'll be contributing to your children's wellbeing at home and in the classroom.

Meet your Teacher

Sofia Eastmond is a certified Chopra Meditation® Instructor (trained by Deepak Chopra and his team at the Chopra Centre). She's also a ThetaHealing® Practitioner and the author of the children's book "The Magic of Who You Are." Sofia created a meditation programme for schools currently being used in New Zealand, which includes collecting data through regular feedback surveys on happiness, wellbeing and how children feel about meditation. This course is a compilation of the work being done with schools and the positive feedback she's received directly from the children practicing these meditations. Sofia is inspired by scientific research that shows how impactful a simple daily meditation practice can have on children's wellbeing. She wants to make a difference with young children, their families and their sense of wellbeing, confidence, joy and resilience.

There's a quiet place inside of you where your greatness, your best ideas, your strength, your love and your happiness come from.

 You and your mind are like an ocean.
When you go to the beach and look at the ocean, it looks like there’s always a lot going on on the surface.
 But that’s not how the entire ocean is. There’s more to the ocean than just the waves. When you dive deep into the water, things get quieter. And the deeper the ocean goes, the more quiet and calm it is. It’s the same with you. When you stay on the waves of your busy mind, you’ll feel more unsettled, worried and frustrated. But when you take time to go to that calm, happy place inside of you, you bring those feelings with you to everything you do. You become the whole ocean, instead of just the surface.

In today's meditation, you're going to put your mask and snorkel on and go on an adventure to discover how you're like the ocean. You're going to turn into a sea creature and swim freely. The deeper you swim, the more peaceful and relaxed you feel. In this quiet, still place, you will remember your greatness. Calm Like A Giant Blue Lake

Today's lesson is about becoming still, calm and spacious, like a giant blue lake.

 Meditation is a great way to help you practice feeling relaxed, calm and alert.

 It’s a great way to learn that in any situation we can choose to be the calm or be the storm. 

 This is not always easy, especially when big feelings and emotions sneak up on you. But with some practice, over time, meditation helps create more space inside of you between what happens and how you react. You have the power in your mind and body to change how things go for you and meditation helps you connect with this power.
