Hello and welcome to this guided breathwork session,
My name is Jake.
Thank you for joining me here today and sharing your time with me.
This breathwork practice will be focused on finding inner peace.
So I'd like you to begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either lying down or seated upright.
And if it feels comfortable for you,
Just close down your eyes.
And begin to just pull your awareness onto your breath.
Feel the cold air rise with each inhale and the slightly warmer air fall with each exhale.
Breathing in and out through the nose,
Nice and gently,
Nice and calmly and simply becoming aware of your breath.
So what we're going to do now is we're going to take a deep inhale through the nose,
Breathing in.
Hold for a minute,
A second when you get to the top and exhale through the mouth.
Repeat that again for me,
Deep inhale in and sigh,
Exhale out.
Last time,
Deep inhale in and sigh,
Exhale out.
Now we're going to begin with the breathwork.
We're going to be inhaling and exhaling through the nose.
And I want you to focus on long,
Smooth and slow inhales followed by long,
Slow exhales.
Once we reach the top of the exhale,
We're going to pause for a minute,
For a moment.
So wherever you are in your breath,
I want you to breathe all the way out.
And breathing in,
You draw the breath up the body,
Breathing into the ribcage,
Filling the lungs up.
Pause when you reach the top and it's a slow,
Elongated exhale back down.
Breathing in,
The body expands,
The ribcage open up horizontally.
Pause when you reach the top and exhale,
Falling all the way back down.
Breathing in,
The body expands,
Breathing out,
The body softened.
And as you continue to breathe in this way,
Imagine that you're drawing in a sense of peace and calm with each inhale.
And releasing any stress,
Tension with each exhale.
We're inhaling peace and we're exhaling stress.
And just allow your thoughts just to come and go,
Enter and leave.
The only thing that remains constant is the inhale and the exhale.
We're using our attention to focus down on each slow,
Deep inhale,
Followed by a long,
Slow,
Deep exhale.
Breathing in that sense of peace,
Sense of calm,
Breathing out all the stress and the tension.
And as you breathe in this way,
I want you to begin to visualise yourself in the most serene and tranquil environment that you've ever been in.
Maybe it's a forest,
Maybe it's up a mountain,
Maybe it's on the beach.
Whatever serene and tranquil means to you.
And just imagine that feeling of complete ease and home within yourself.
Knowing that you already have everything you need,
It already lives inside of you.
Continue just to take in some more slow,
Deep breaths,
Filling the body up with each inhale.
Pause when you reach the top and it's a slow,
Drawn out exhale.
Breathing in that peace,
Exhaling any tension.
Breathing in peace,
Exhaling any tension.
We use the breath just to let go.
Let go of that stress,
Let go of that tension,
Let go onto anything that we no longer need.
And like a wave,
Just allow it to just wash through the body,
Eliminating any negativities,
Any stress ease and strains.
Continue to breathe in this way for a couple more breaths,
Really drawing the breath up the body slowly and as intentionally as you possibly can.
Pausing when you reach the top and it's a slow,
Elongated exhale back down.
And with each exhale,
The weight on the shoulders gets less and less.
Any tension,
Any stress that you've been feeling in your neck gets lighter and lighter.
And you begin just to feel almost like a ripple of softness just radiating through the body.
Starting at the head,
Loosening up the forehead,
Softening the jaw,
Releasing any tension in the eyes.
Moving its way down the neck,
Taking away any cracks and pops.
And then moving into the shoulders,
Taking away the weight that we carry on our shoulders.
And just allowing the body to sink deeper and deeper into a state of pure relaxation.
Coming up for your last inhale and then on your next exhale you're going to breathe all the way out and empty the air in all of the lungs.
And just pause when you reach the bottom,
Hold here for 10,

1.
Take a deep inhale and fill up the lungs.
Pause when you reach the top,
Hold here for 10,

8,
7,
6,

3,
2,
1.
Exhale and just let it all go.
Begin to just take a little bit of movement back into the body now.
Waking yourself back up and taking a moment just to take some stock on how you feel.
