Welcome to this guided breathwork session.
My name is Jake.
Thank you for choosing to share your time with me here today.
In today's practice we're going to be focusing on coherence breathing.
A technique that helps you to find a state of inner calmness,
Coherence between the heart and the brain.
I'll allow you to find a comfortable seated position.
Close your eyes and begin by taking a deep breath in through the nose.
Pause when you reach the top.
Exhale through the mouth.
Inhale through the nose.
Pause when you reach the top.
Exhale through the mouth.
Breathe all the way out.
And then together we're going to inhale for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
Two.
Exhale five,
Four,
Three,
Two.
Inhale three,
Two.
Hold two.
Exhale five,
Four,
Three,
Two.
Three,
Two,
Two.
Exhale five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Repeat this pattern now on your own,
Focusing on the rhythm and the smoothness of your breath.
With each inhale we're drawing in a sense of peace.
With each exhale we're pushing out any remaining stress.
In peace,
Pushing out any stress.
Drawing in peace,
Exhaling stress.
And just allow your thoughts to come and go,
Just to enter and leave.
The thoughts are never permanent,
They're always fleeting.
They're just constructs of the mind.
The only thing that stays true and stays steady is the breath.
With each inhale we're filling up our body with positive energy and vitality.
With each exhale you're releasing any negative or stagnant energy that may be weighing you down.
You feel a sense of coherence,
Balance.
Allow you to feel more centred.
And we need to begin to start to visualise,
Create the size,
The texture.
Just begin to start to notice all the little intricacies and details of your heart.
Once you've began to paint that picture of your heart and you have a clear,
Strong image of it in your imagination.
I want you to begin to look inside your heart.
What lives inside your heart?
And just start to visualise the people,
The places and the experiences that live inside your heart.
And as you stare deeper into your heart,
You begin to feel a subtle warmth radiating from the heart outwards.
Ripples on a pond that move slowly through every corner.
And continuously while this happens,
The images that you see inside your heart get stronger and vivider.
And as you feel this deep sense of contentment and a slight warmth just radiating gently through your whole body.
I'm now going to invite you just to take three cleansing breaths to finish this practice.
So breathing out completely.
And whenever you are breathing in,
Exhale,
Breathing out.
Breathing in and exhale,
Breathing out.
Breathing in and exhale,
Release.
Start to bring a little bit of body,
Pose.
And just take a moment here to take a mental picture of how you feel.
Notice any sensations,
Things that have risen to the surface.
Don't try to push them back down.
Simply allow themselves to express within your body.
