And welcome to this short guided breathwork meditation.

We are going to focus on slowing everything back,

Allowing us to return to a state of peace.

Before we begin,

I would like you to find a comfortable position either lying down or lying down.

Taking a moment now to get comfortable,

Get settled.

And when you're ready,

In your own time,

I'll invite you now just to close down your eyes.

Feel the weight of your eyelids.

I need to bring your awareness now to your forehead,

Releasing any tension,

Releasing tension in the jaw,

No clinging in the eyes.

Everything is soft and smooth.

Just breathing nice and normally,

Developing an awareness of the breath.

And you notice any details around your breath.

Is it short?

Is it fast?

Is it long?

Start to become familiar.

Start to become aware.

We're going to begin by taking three cleansing breaths,

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.

Wherever you are,

Breathing all the way out,

Breathing in through the nose and again,

Breathing in.

This time,

Release and just feel the weight on your shoulders that you have been carrying.

Evaporate,

Leaving your shoulders nice and loose.

Take some time here just to feel how that breath.

We're now going to move on to some deep yogic breathing.

We'll be inhaling and exhaling through the nose.

As you inhale,

I want you to focus on bringing the breath up from the soles of your feet,

Traveling its way through your body,

Moving its way up and up and as you breathe into your ribcage,

Feel the ribcage expand.

Hold for a second at the top and release through the nose.

Release.

Pause when you reach the bottom.

Breathing in.

Letting go.

Each inhale is an expansion and each exhale is a softening.

Focusing on long,

Slow inhales followed by a long,

Slow exhale.

Bring everything nice and soft,

Nice and fluid.

With each inhale you rise,

With each exhale you fall.

Sinking deeper into a state of pure relaxation,

Into a state of calm,

Peace.

Perfectly okay when the mind wanders and each time that it does,

Pull ourselves back gently to the feeling of the expansion with each inhale,

The softening of each exhale.

With each exhale the body is getting lighter and lighter,

Sinking deeper into the ground beneath you,

Letting go of everything that you've experienced to date,

Allowing the subconscious brain just to work through all that it needs to do as we focus on each inhale and exhale.

I'd like to invite you to make that breath as silent as you possibly can.

Can you breathe so light that it doesn't even feel like you're breathing at all?

Nice and steady,

Nice and smooth.

Keeping everything loose.

Breathing into the ribcage,

You feel the ribcage expand out in each direction,

Pausing at the top.

Exhale,

Everything falls back inwards.

Perfect cycle of inhales and exhales.

Use the breath just to let everything go.

Just know that you are safe and you are held by the earth.

Feel into that cold air rising,

That slightly warm air falling,

Bringing in fresh new light,

Exhaling everything we don't need,

Anything that does not serve as we sink deeper and deeper into a state of pure relaxation.

Release control of the breath now,

Just return back to normal breathing.

It needs to do.

Just notice,

Notice how you feel.

Observe the sensations that are happening inside.

I'm going to leave you now in this state of bliss.

Thank you for listening and for trusting me to guide you through this relaxing journey.

Thank you.
