Hello,
My name is Jake and welcome to this SleepScape breathwork session.
Today we're going to use our breath as a vehicle for a deeper and more blissful night's sleep.
My dear friends,
As you lie down in your bed,
Make yourself as comfortable as you possibly can and begin to close down your eyes.
Allow the body to relax and your mind to become calm.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
Filling the lungs completely.
Hold the breath here for a moment and then exhale slowly through your mouth.
Repeat this process for a few breaths.
Breathing in through the nose,
We hold,
Exhale slowly and again breathing in through the nose,
Hold,
Exhale slowly through the mouth,
Allowing the body to relax and for the mind to settle.
Continue this pattern of breath,
Breathing deeply and steadily.
Now begin to focus your attention on the sensation of your breath as it flows in and out of the body.
Can you feel the cold air rise with each inhale and the warm air fall with each exhale,
Sinking deeper and deeper into a state of pure relaxation.
Imagine now with each inhale you're breathing in peace,
Breath for a moment,
Exhale very slowly and as you exhale,
You're exhaling any remaining stress.
Breathing in for peace,
Exhaling stress.
Breathing in for peace,
Exhaling stress.
Breathing in for peace,
Exhaling stress.
Breath becomes slow and steady,
Letting go of any thoughts or worries that may be on your mind.
Remembering that the present moment is all we have.
Let go of the past and the future,
And just be here now.
As you continue to breathe in peace and exhale stress,
Give your body permission to relax deeper,
To sink deeper as you prepare yourself for a deep night's rest.
Staying with the breath,
Taking one final deep breath in and exhale through the mouth,
Letting go of any remaining tension,
Any remaining stress.
Drifting off to sleep,
Reminding yourself that you can return to your breath whenever you need and it will always help you feel more calm and peaceful.
Sweet dreams my friends.
