My name is Jake and welcome to this Breathwork session here on Insight Timer.
I'm very grateful that you chose to join me here today and today I wanted to take you through a short but energising Breathwork practice.
Breath of Fire is a great technique in stimulating your inner fire and moving stagnant energy throughout the body.
For those of us who have never done Breath of Fire,
It's super simple.
We're going to focus on short forceful exhales and passive inhales.
The inhale will happen automatically straight after the inhale and we're pumping the diaphragm with each exhale.
So what I want you to do now is I want you to find a comfortable position either upright or cross-legged on a chair.
I want you to close down your eyes and start to bring your attention towards your breath.
Feel the cool air rise with the inhale and the slightly warm air fall with the exhale.
Notice the pace of your breath.
Notice where in the body moves as you breathe.
And before we begin the Breath of Fire we're going to inhale through the nose and sigh through the mouth three times.
So we're going to take a deep inhale in.
And sigh.
Deep inhale in.
And sigh.
Deep inhale in.
And sigh.
And on your next breath we're going to begin Breath of Fire.
So we're breathing in,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
Forceful exhales,
Passive inhales.
Breathing in,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
Keep breathing.
Coming up for your last breath now.
In three,
Two,
One.
Big breath in.
All the way out.
And hold.
Hold here for ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Big breath in.
Hold here.
Hold here with the breath held at the top.
And be here for a while as we hold.
Feel the expansion.
Feel the opening.
Feel the pressure moving,
The energy moving towards the head.
Keep holding.
Keep holding for ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And let go.
And just now return back to a normal rhythm of breathing.
Simply allowing everything to settle.
Just taking some nice gentle breaths in and out through the nose.
And in just one moment we're going to begin again another round of breath of fire.
In three,
Two,
One.
Forceful exhale.
Pumping the diaphragm.
Creating fire,
Creating energy within the body as we keep breathing.
Keep breathing for breath of fire for ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Big breath in.
And letting go.
Hold here.
Hold your breath.
Find your centre.
We hold here for ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Big breath in.
Hold.
Hold.
Imagine the top of your head opening as the energy,
The power just shoots straight up to the brain.
Hold.
Hold for ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And let go.
And just return back to a normal rhythm of breath.
Allowing everything to settle.
Everything just to relax.
Now we're going to take a breath in.
And sigh.
Breath in.
And out.
Breath in.
And out.
Last breath.
Breath in.
Hold.
Try and suck in a bit extra air.
And again.
Last one.
Ten,

And relax.
I encourage you now to sit for another minute or two.
