Many of us are caught up in a never-ending search to find the one fail-safe technique that calms us down when stress and anxiety strike. Mindfulness, meditation, yoga, deep breathing - you’ve probably tried them all at some point. And yet, techniques to try and manage stress aren’t going to give you the answer you’re really looking for. The problem is that they’re tackling the symptoms of your stress (the insomnia, the crazy thoughts, the short temper) rather than the cause. Until you deal with the cause of stress, nothing’s ever going to change and all you can ever look forward to is temporary relief. In this short course, we’ll be challenging our ideas about what stress is and where it comes from and then you’ll be able to tap into the innate inner resilience and mental health we all possess and deal more calmly with any issues life can throw at us.

We often assume that if we’re struggling with stress, it’s because there’s something about us that needs fixing. But the liberating truth is that as part of the human race, we already come with all the resilience and inner resources we could ever need to deal with problems.

Step Four: Where Does Our Stress Really Come From?
It looks as if stress comes from situations outside us such as problems with our health, finances, or relationships. But if this is true, why is it that sometimes we’re stressed by our circumstances and other days we’re not? Is there something else going on in the creation of our stress that we need to understand if we are ever going to be able to deal with it effectively?

Step Five: Finding Creative Solutions To Stressful Problems
Even though we’re more able to deal with stress, life is still going to throw problems and issues at us - we still need to find solutions and take action. So in this lesson, we’ll explore our innate creativity, where it comes from and how to tap into it more easily.

Thank you Dawn for these five wonderful lessons about relieving stress in our lives. It is so very true that sometimes when we are least expecting it, a solution will ultimately come. I especially enjoyed the example of your daughter wanting a pony in the final lesson.
