Welcome to this meditation.

During our time together this morning,

We're going to spend a little time thinking about the day ahead.

And this meditation will also give us the space to prepare for whatever the day brings with a sense of peace and ease,

Acceptance,

Possibility and flow.

And so,

With your eyes comfortably closed,

Take a moment to focus on your breathing.

Taking a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Really be aware of the feeling of the air as it enters your body and as it leaves.

As you breathe easily in and out.

And with each breath out,

You're releasing your body of any tension,

Any stress.

And as you focus on your breathing,

The sound of my voice is reaching that inner part of you.

And my voice is the most important sound that you hear.

And all the other sounds simply melt into the background and allow you to relax more and more.

And as you breathe with a steady,

Even rhythm,

You breathe deeply down into your abdomen.

A nice,

Steady rhythm.

And you listen to the sound of your breathing as it goes way down.

Quiet,

Rhythmical breathing.

With each breath,

You may like to give your body and mind permission to begin to let go.

To begin to become more and more relaxed.

Imagining,

Feeling all tension melting away.

That's right.

Just scan your body.

And if there's any part of your body that's not totally comfortable,

Just make any adjustments you need to make.

And breathe a sense of ease into that area.

And breathe softly and calmly.

Just a little deeper than usual.

And any thoughts that drift into your mind,

Just allow them to float on.

Not needing to pay any particular attention to them.

Not needing to take them seriously or treat them as anything other than clouds floating softly and gently across a blue sky.

Just breathing softly.

Noticing anything,

Any sound or feeling that comes into your awareness with a detached calm.

There's nothing for you to have to do.

Nothing required of you,

Just to sit and gently enjoy this feeling of calm.

And now as if viewing your day as a loving observer,

Just think about the activities and events you have planned for the day ahead.

This isn't about getting involved in how you feel about any of it,

Just lightly noticing.

And thinking about the quality you'd like to bring to the day.

What would that be?

Maybe a sense of lightness or fun?

Just think about how you'd like to live your day and with which quality you'd like to bring.

Perhaps seeing yourself moving through your day and lightly responding to every moment and situation.

Feeling a feeling of expansiveness,

Of being able to dance with the ebb and flow of your energy throughout the day.

Making the day easy and effortless,

Like a wonderful dance of life.

As you dance lightly with the challenges or changes you may face during your day.

Just enjoy that feeling,

Knowing that you have all the resources that you need already inside you to allow and enable this to happen.

And what would a feeling of more possibility about your day feel like for you?

If you were open to opportunities for connecting with others,

Of being fully present and enjoying your day and feelings as you flow through the day,

What would that be like for you?

Just notice whatever comes up for you without judgement.

And some days this will feel easy to do and others perhaps it will feel more of a challenge,

But this is all totally fine.

See yourself as shifting direction with ease,

Dealing creatively with challenges or obstacles.

And a sense of playfulness and wonder at all the tiny moments that are going to make up your day.

Maybe the moments you will spend in daily activities,

Being with loved ones,

Going out into the world,

The daily commute,

Making your lunch,

Whatever you will spend your time doing today.

And then think about who you are being today.

How are you going to bring your uniqueness out into the world?

And just noticing any observations or insights that have come to you about your day during this meditation.

Just notice,

Be calm and peaceful.

And bringing that feeling of ease and flow,

Likeness and possibility with you into your day.

Breathing softly.

And in a moment I will count to five and you will come out of this session feeling calm and relaxed.

On the count of one you will have full coordination,

Flexibility,

Control throughout your body.

On the count of two all sounds return to their true perspective.

On the count of three place yourself back in this room.

And on the count of four you come up from this experience bringing all the benefits.

And on the count of five you will open your eyes to be wide awake.

So you are gradually coming up now,

Beginning to move and stretch on one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Eyes open to feel wide awake and back in this room and ready to get on with your day.

And enjoy this wonderful expansive feeling of living your life in all its glory and perfect imperfection.

What a beautiful reminder that living is a dance with the ebb and flow of life, and we can be conscious participants, directing our attention to the qualities we want to bring to our days. Thank you, Dawn 💛✨
